Choose one or more recipes that, first of all, will be clear and simple for you. They should also be suitable for your health condition. For example, for pathologies of the liver and gall bladder, it is worth using a decoction and infusion of corn silk, but for weight loss, a tincture with alcohol or vodka is traditionally used. But in general, all forms of corn silk have a similar effect.

Decoction

A decoction of corn silk is a traditional method of use for diseases of the liver, gall bladder and infectious and inflammatory processes of other organs. Pour 2 tablespoons of corn silk into the bottom of the pan and fill with a liter of cold water, cover with a lid. Keep on the stove for 20-30 minutes until it boils. Leave the pan for several hours, place a terry towel on top of the lid. Then strain and take half a glass before meals several times a day. The course of treatment is 1-2 weeks, but depends on the individual characteristics of the body.

Infusion

To prepare the infusion, it is better to use a thermos. Place two tablespoons of stigmas on its bottom, pour 200-300 ml of boiling water. Close the lid of the thermos and leave for 2 hours. Be sure to strain before use. Use 0.5 cups per day before meals or 1 hour after meals.

If you don’t have a thermos, then use the following recipe: pour 3 tablespoons of raw materials into an enamel bowl, pour a glass of hot water, leave in a water bath for 15 minutes. The container lid must be closed. Cool at room temperature for about 45 minutes. Strain, squeeze. Then add volume to 200 ml. cooled boiled water.

This infusion can be stored for no more than 48 hours at a temperature of 8-15 degrees. Drink 100 ml. before meals or an hour after meals 3 times a day.

Tea

Corn silk tea is easy to use. For a glass of hot, but not boiling water, you need to take a tablespoon of dry crushed columns. Wait 5 minutes, add a teaspoon of honey and drink as a tea drink on an empty stomach or a few hours after meals.

Alcohol tincture

Corn silk tincture can be purchased or prepared at home. It is highly concentrated, so it is used only in diluted form. Take a glass of corn silk, pour 0.5 liters of alcohol or vodka. Leave for a month in a cool, dark place. Use the resulting product diluted before meals. Add a teaspoon of tincture to a glass of water or tea.

Extract

Liquid corn silk extract can be easily purchased at the pharmacy. Take it strictly in drops, which are diluted in a small amount of water. You are allowed to take 3-5 drops per dose. Pour two tablespoons of herbal mixture into a liter of boiling water and leave. Drink half a cup 6 times a day for hepatitis, stones in the urinary tract, and frequent kidney surgeries.

If pain in the kidneys appears during treatment, the amount of strawberries should be halved.

Brew 3 tablespoons of stigmas with a cup of water and let it brew until it cools. Drink the infusion before meals four times a day, 50 ml. The duration of treatment is three weeks. For cystitis, you can prepare an effective herbal mixture. You need to prepare the following ingredients:

  • stigma;
  • liquorice root;
  • birch leaves;
  • wheatgrass rhizomes;
  • bearberry.

Take all components of the collection in an amount of 10 grams. Pour one tablespoon (tablespoon) of the mixture with a cup of cold water and wait until it boils. Simmer for a quarter of an hour over low heat, remove from the burner and, after cooling slightly, strain. Drink the decoction a day, dividing it into several servings.

Corn silk has an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin and helps normalize the functioning of the sebaceous glands. You can use the product in home cosmetology in the absence of individual intolerance.   • The infusion will be beneficial if taken for 14 days, 4 times a day, ½ part of a glass.

Corn silk for children

Corn silk has pronounced beneficial properties, but it is prohibited to use them to treat children without prior consultation with a pediatrician or specialized specialist. Stimulation of bile formation and bile drainage can provoke an exacerbation of some concomitant diseases, the appearance of biliary colic.

At what age can they be used by children? You should not give corn silk to children under 12-14 years old, and alcohol tincture - until 17-18 years old. But it is better to resolve this issue individually with your doctor.

Harm and contraindications for use

Corn silk has not only medicinal properties, but also certain contraindications:

  • tendency to thrombosis, the presence of varicose veins;
  • underweight, anorexia;
  • individual intolerance;
  • increased blood clotting;
  • high risk of developing biliary colic, the presence of small and potentially dangerous stones, which during treatment can block the bile ducts.
