Goose fat is a universal remedy

Composition of goose fat

Goose fat owes its versatile healing qualities to numerous components. It contains a huge amount of fatty acids, which distinguish it from other natural medicine products.

Important nutritional contents to note are:

  • selenium – successfully improves the absorption of proteins, carbohydrates and iodine;
  • Vitamin E – strengthens the immune system, protects cells from damage;
  • acids (oleic, stearic, palmitinoleic) – normalizes the body’s water balance, heals damaged skin;
  • cholesterol.

People who adhere to a diet do not have enough animal substances necessary for full functioning.

It leads to:

  • disruption of metabolic processes in the body;
  • problems in the gastrointestinal tract;
  • dry skin;
  • fragility of nails and hair;
  • mental stress and exhaustion.

Goose fat contains minerals and B vitamins that the body needs for full development. Proteins and carbohydrates are completely absent.

Compound

Goose fat (or goose lard) is the rendered fat of geese. Most of the fat is located in the subcutaneous tissues. Its total share of the weight is up to 35 percent.

Goose fat is primarily monounsaturated and has a chemical structure similar to olive oil. The main advantage of goose fat is that it can withstand very high and low temperatures without changing its properties.

Goose fat is a combination of a huge amount of saturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids - these are the components that are lacking in human nutrition. Goose fat contains most of the fatty acids that a woman’s body needs. This:

  • omega-3, oleic,
  • palmitinooleic,
  • linoleic,
  • linolenic,
  • stearic,
  • myristic and others.

Goose fat also contains a large number of minerals, including: magnesium, sodium, selenium, zinc, copper; vitamins: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, E, PP, etc.

Medicinal properties

Goose fat, whose medicinal properties and contraindications have been known since ancient times, is actively used as an effective healing agent, as well as as part of prevention. It can be found in traditional medicine methods and in pharmacological products. It is ideal for both oral and external use.

The following useful qualities can be identified:

  • combating depression and stress;
  • improves sleep;
  • eliminates fatigue;
  • relieves hangover;

  • cures prostatitis in men and infertility in women;
  • has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • prevents the occurrence of heart attack, stroke and atherosclerosis;
  • normalizes processes in case of vitamin deficiency;

Leading cosmetology companies use goose fat very effectively in their practice. Various nourishing masks for skin, lips and hair are made from it. Helps solve skin problems, baldness, premature skin aging.

Thanks to its nutrient-rich composition, it relieves joint pain and rheumatism. However, it is rarely used as an independent medicine. In any case, only a qualified specialist after a full examination will be able to prescribe the correct course of therapy.

Contraindications

Goose fat has virtually no restrictions on its use, and therefore has earned enormous support among doctors and cosmetologists. However, some warnings do exist. The main precaution for oral use is individual intolerance to at least one of the components of the product.

You cannot use it:

There are no restrictions when applying fat to the body from above. However, before the first application to the skin, it is recommended to test on a small area of the body in order to exclude an allergic reaction of the human body to the components of fat. In the absence of a negative effect, you can fully practice its use.

How is goose fat obtained?

The healing agent is obtained by melting lard. If there is nothing to make medicine from at home, then you can buy ready-made fat, not only at collective farm markets or in a specialized store, but also at a pharmacy.

To prepare lard yourself, you need to collect the subcutaneous fat from the goose carcass and cut it into small pieces. The fat is placed in a heat-resistant container, placed on the stove and simmered over low heat for 3 hours, stirring occasionally so that the product does not burn. The resulting cracklings are carefully removed with a slotted spoon, and the fat is simmered for another 1 hour. The prepared product is poured into glass containers, covered with lids and stored in the refrigerator.
