Properties of shungite stone

The shungite mineral is a rock - metamorphosed coal, embodying the transition stage of anthracite to graphite.

Its composition is 93-95% carbon, the rest is hydrogen, nitrogen, sulfur, and in small quantities it contains inclusions of nickel and tungsten, selenium and vanadium.

If we talk about what properties this mineral is noted for, then shungite is marked by a high percentage of electrical conductivity, its thermal conductivity is fixed at the level of 7500 cal. The hardness of the mineral varies from 3.5 to 4, and the density of the structure is 2.1-2.4 g/m3.

Its hardness allows it to be used as a facing material; due to its purifying properties, it is used as a filter; it is widely used in jewelry, and the use of gems for various design elements is also common.

Physico-chemical properties of shungite

Shungite is a stone with a density of 1.8–2.84 g/cm3. Depending on its composition, there are two main varieties.

  • Shiny: 60–98% carbon, the remaining 2–40% ash.
  • Matte: carbon from 5% to 35%, and ash from 65% to 95%.

In addition, the ash portion contains a significant amount of impurities.

Shungite is considered a promising material for use in nanotechnology. Its properties are carefully studied in many institutes in different countries. In addition, the stone is an absorbent and has catalytic properties.

Origin story

Shungite has been used in medical practice since the beginning of the 18th century. Peter the Great was the first to believe in the properties of the mineral and began to insist on their use. He not only consumed infused water on his own, but also recommended giving it to soldiers in the army.

During long hikes, there was always shungite in the water, which purified the liquid, thereby preventing mass infectious epidemics. Today, scientists have been able to prove that the stone actually has unique antibacterial properties.

Since that time, the mineral began to be used as a pigment to create paint; it is marketed under the name “natural black shungite” or “soot.” Already in the 70s it became clear that small stone chips could be used as an insulating material.

To obtain shungizite, it was necessary to heat the stone to 1130°C, after which the filler became a low-density building material.

Shungite belongs to the mineraloids. It represents one of the earliest oil fields formed, dating back to the Precambrian era. The land around Lake Onega in western Russia, specifically the Republic of Karelia, is covered with rocks from the Paleoproterozoic period, which are about two billion years old. These include metamorphosed petroleum residues, including both shale sources and crude product.

Apparently, once upon a time a large area here was covered with salt water lagoons, which were located near a chain of volcanoes. As a result of the normal process of life, the ecosystem consisted of a huge number of single-celled algae.

In turn, the volcanoes produced the necessary nutrients for them. The deposits that appeared consisted of the remains of these microorganisms. Later, these rocks were subjected to increased temperature and pressure, which turned the oil into shungite.

Medicinal properties

Shungite is a mega-healing stone, which has been confirmed by several centuries of its use in medical practices by both lithotherapists and ordinary doctors. For a long time it was mined only in Karelia, where there are medicinal springs in places where it is concentrated.

This is interesting!

Until the reign of Peter I, only local residents knew about the miraculous power of shungite water. But the healing of one worker from a serious heart disease created a sensation, and rumors of this reached the great ruler. Peter I came to the springs and was convinced from his own experience of their incredible healing power, after which, by decree of March 20, 1719, he founded the Marcial Waters resort there, which is still in operation. Afterwards, the ruler himself regularly drank shungite water, and the soldiers in the army treated it to it in order to protect them from diseases during campaigns and add physical strength to them.

Here is how the healing properties of shungite are used today:

  • Shungite water is the most common method and easy to implement, accessible to everyone. Pieces of the mineral are placed in clean water and left for a day. Then you can drink it for the general health of the body, removing toxins and heavy metals, getting rid of E. coli, and recovering from illnesses. Another miraculous water relieves puffiness, rejuvenates and gets rid of dermatological problems (you need to wash your face), treats the throat, fights periodontal disease and gum inflammation (rinsing), and also saves you from allergies and asthma.
  • Shungite trinkets - beads, bracelets and others. If you wear them on your neck or arm, it will become easier to breathe, cough up phlegm faster, and the overall tone of the body will increase and its resistance to viral attacks will increase. The stone will also have a positive effect on the heart, strengthen blood vessels, calm the nerves and improve the functioning of the endocrine system.
  • Foot massage – you need to scatter pebbles and massage your feet with them. This massage will improve blood circulation, help solve problems with the musculoskeletal system, relieve joint pain and headaches, as well as pinched spine and lower back pain, eliminate depression, calm you down, and normalize sleep.
  • Shungite wrapping and applications. Shungite “mud” is applied to diseased areas or the entire body, and you can also apply pieces of the mineral to problem areas or use special insoles and knee pads. These actions will relieve dermatological ailments; they are used to treat osteochondrosis and other diseases of the spine, diabetes, problems with the gastrointestinal tract and liver diseases.

Shungite has another amazing property - it is an effective protector against the appearance of cancer cells. Of course, it is unable to completely cure existing oncology, but it will definitely slow down its development.

  • Cosmetical tools. At the moment, there are a huge number of different cosmetics based on shungite - creams, lotions, soaps and so on. They are very effective as they cleanse the skin, return it to its normal color and rejuvenate it.
  • Souvenirs (pyramids and any others) near computers, televisions and other electrical appliances. The stone receives their radiation, thereby neutralizing and reducing the negative impact on humans.

Place of Birth

Beyond Lake Onega there is a quarry where shungite is mined. The village of Shunga, in the vicinity of which a healing stone was discovered, is located on the territory of the Karelian Republic. The nearby island of Kizhi consists entirely of shungite soil. This region is famous for its original history and architecture.

Karelian shungite is known for its high quality, which is due to the high content of fullerenes and carbon in local soils. It covers all the needs of the Russian Federation for the mineral, and is also exported abroad.

It is known that the inhabitants of the island who feel the influence of the stone have amazing health and fortitude. In addition, shungite soil has a beneficial effect on architectural structures of historical significance. Temples built of wood are not subject to putrefactive processes and other destruction.

Another shungite deposit has been explored - not far from the city of Zazhoginsk. Its volume is estimated at approximately thirty-five million tons. Outside Russia, the mineral is mined in Kazakhstan and Canada.

Healing properties of shungite

The healing properties of shungite are recognized both in lithotherapy and in traditional medicine. They are associated with its rich chemical composition, thanks to which the stone can influence a wide variety of processes in the body.

The mineral, in particular, not only purifies water, but imparts its own healing properties to it. These include the following:

  • Antioxidant - the ability to neutralize free radicals;
  • Immunomodulatory - strengthening the immune system and the body's defenses;
  • Antihistamines - suppression of allergic reactions;
  • Bactericidal and sterilizing - destruction of pathogenic microbes;
  • Anti-inflammatory;
  • Filtering - the property of purifying water and air from toxins and waste, collecting them in itself (because of this, shungite needs to be washed periodically);
  • Adsorbent - neutralization of harmful substances through their deposition and destruction;
  • The ability to activate metabolic processes in the human body;
  • Saturation of the body with useful microelements;
  • Ability to relieve headaches;
  • Favorable effect on sexual function;
  • Stabilization of the emotional background, getting rid of nightmares and insomnia;
  • Improving the functioning of all human organs and systems;
  • Ability to clear the lungs;
  • Elimination of the harmful effects of electromagnetic fields.

The health benefits of shungite surpass similar healing properties of almost all minerals. In lithotherapy it is used more widely than any other stone. In order for a crystal to begin to exert its therapeutic effects, it is not necessary to drink water purified with its help. Simple contact with the body is enough. Such procedures can relieve symptoms of diseases of the skin, musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and respiratory systems.

Shungite pyramids can be kept in the house to reduce the strength of harmful electromagnetic radiation from a TV, computer and other household appliances. This minimizes their impact on the body.

Shungite water can also be used in different ways. They make inhalations, compresses, lotions with it, they prepare baths and food based on it. Some lithotherapists advise brewing healing infusions from medicinal herbs and mineral-purified water. However, there are some contraindications for such use - kidney stones or gall bladder, for example.

The crystal is also used in psychotherapeutic sessions. Being in a room decorated with stone helps patients relax, normalize their emotional background, and tune into trusting work with a specialist.

Shungite meaning, description, properties

Shungite is a natural stone that is often used as a talisman. It was opened many years ago. The gem has a black color, for which it received the name slate stone, and shungite in honor of the village of Shunga, which is located in Zaonezhye. Large deposits of this gem were found in this place. It is difficult to detect shungite in its pure form. Usually it is only a constituent element of some rocks. There are 2 types of shungite - a stone with a matte color and a stone with a glossy color. The color palette ranges from gray to black. Shungite stone contains carbon, so the properties of the stone are similar to those of activated carbon. Thanks to carbon, the gem has the ability to conduct electricity. Today, the scope of use of stone is extensive.

I have a large selection of shungite jewelry. They can be viewed here: . You can buy not only ready-made jewelry from me, but also order something else. Send me an approximate photo and I will try to make the same.

Healing properties of the stone The fact that shungite has healing properties became known many decades ago. People wore it during illness to speed up the healing process. It was not worn constantly, and it is not recommended to do so now, because its energy has a bad effect on the kidneys and because of this they begin to function poorly. When using a gem for medicinal purposes, it is necessary to clearly understand that it will not replace full-fledged therapy, but will only enhance the effects of drugs and increase the body’s resistance to pathogens. Wearing a stone instead of normal treatment will lead to a worsening of the condition and exacerbation of the disease. The healing properties of the stone are due to its chemical composition. It contains salts of chemical elements and some oxides, so it is not so much the stone itself that is of particular value for the treatment of diseases, but rather the water infused on it. Mineral water from a shungite source is recommended for use in case of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular and respiratory systems. You should not drink it during inflammatory processes or during exacerbation of chronic diseases. Reviews on the Internet say that using water for treatment for a long time, there was not just an improvement in the condition, but also a complete cure of the disease. Water infused with shungite helps with colds, hypothermia and allergic reactions. It is recommended to use it for skin diseases and non-healing wounds. The benefits of the stone for human health are truly invaluable, but treatment with shungite is contraindicated for kidney disease and low blood pressure.

Who is Shungite suitable for according to their zodiac sign? Such gems are ideal for Gemini and Capricorn. They will increase self-esteem, protect against evil spirits and help, and bring good luck in love and in business. The gem helps, one way or another, all signs of the zodiac, but Cancers are not recommended to wear it. When choosing any talisman, you need to focus on your own feelings. If he attracts you, then he is right for you, even if you were born under the sign of Cancer, because astrologers are also people and they also tend to make mistakes.

Magical properties of shungite

Pyramid made of shungite stone
The mineral itself, shungite, was called the gift of the Gods by our ancestors, and these are not simple words. The ancients believed that it was he who absorbed into himself everything that harmed a person, and what helped, he concentrated around himself and, having restored it, directed it in the right direction.

The stone helps to normalize not only the space around itself, but also the psychological and emotional state of a person.

It is shungite that helps to concentrate strength for grandiose achievements and therefore it is best worn by young, ambitious and energetic people. But for those who are unsure of their abilities, the mineral will help them gain support from above, confidence in themselves and their abilities, but they should not wear it for a long time.

As practicing magicians note, a mineral carved in one form or another has its own meaning and has a certain effect:

  1. A cube made from this mineral helps in business, attracting cash flows, making a person persistent and purposeful in his goals, helping to bring all his plans to life.
  2. Pyramids made of the mineral help protect the house from witchcraft and dark energy from the outside, human anger and envy - if you place such a figure opposite the front door, you will thereby provide effective protection from external negativity. Among other things, it is the pyramidal shape of the mineral that best protects against negative radiation from electrical appliances. Just place it in the kitchen or in places with the greatest concentration of electronics and thereby significantly reduce the negative radiation from it.
  3. Balls made of the mineral harmonize relationships in your personal life and attract the attention of the opposite sex - it is enough to wear it in the format of beads or a rosary and shungite will help you quickly find family happiness. Figures carved from shungite will bring not only harmony to the house, but also peace, absorbing all the negativity in it and preventing quarrels and scandals, restoring the supply of positive energy and internal strength to its household members. Any figurine present in the house or decoration will relieve headaches and migraines, coping with attacks of apathy and fatigue. It also helps to neutralize excessive depression - it helps anyone who often experiences depressive moods and manic addiction to alcohol, drugs and games.

Talismans and amulets

Shungite amulet
This mineral is often used as an amulet because it has strong energy. But esotericists do not recommend using such a talisman all the time - it is needed only in difficult circumstances.

In order to take advantage of the magical properties of shungite, you should keep the stone at home or occasionally wear it on your body. The features of its action depend on the form of the mineral.

Round stones bring harmony to love relationships, cubic stones promote success in business, pyramidal stones protect the well-being of the family.

Despite its ability to help improve intersexual relationships, shungite is not used for love spells. He has no power that can attract one person to another. But at the same time, he protects already formed relationships from disintegration.

Its ability to purify makes it a strong talisman against damage. With the help of shungite, you can eliminate unfavorable energy from objects whose origin is unknown.

It also clears the thoughts of its owner, relieving him of nervousness and helping him cope with long-standing experiences in order to move on.

If the owner is in danger, the talisman can warn him by sending him a prophetic dream. People who wear shungite jewelry for a long time have an enhanced intuition.

How to distinguish real shungite from a fake

The healing and magical properties for which the mineral is valued are inherent only in natural samples of the rock. Although the price of shungite is low, dishonest sellers still counterfeit it, passing off ordinary coal or a similar-looking but useless rock - shungizite - as a crystal.

You should know how to distinguish a real copy from a fake:

  • The feature of the mineral that distinguishes it from most other stones is that it conducts electricity. A fake cannot do this.
  • The surface of the gem is matte and never shines. Because of its fragility, no one polishes it.
  • Place your purchase in a cup of water. If the mineral is genuine, bubbles will soon appear on the surface of the liquid. This will mean that the cleansing process has begun.
  • Pay attention to what shungite looks like - in a real healing crystal you can see thin golden veins of iron sulfate. They give the mineral additional therapeutic properties.

Due to the healing properties of shungite stone and its low cost, it was previously sold not in jewelry stores, but in pharmacies. However, specimens from there were often low-carbon or even fake.

Now the mineral can be purchased in various stores selling health products. When purchasing, it is best to always ask for a certificate. This will reduce the likelihood of fraud to a minimum.

How to spot a fake

Only natural shungite stones have healing properties. You can determine the authenticity of a mineral in the following ways:

  • at the price of the stone (a large copy costs 300-500 rubles);
  • the natural mineral has a rough surface and almost no shine;
  • does not dissolve in water;
  • has high electrical conductivity.

To check, connect shungite, 2 wires, a regular battery and a light bulb from a flashlight in series. The natural mineral will pass the current and the light bulb will light up.

Application

Shungite bracelet
Shungite is actively used for filtration and mineralization of water. Fullerenes, which are part of the mineral, can effectively rid water of bacteria, unpleasant odor and taste.

The crystal is widely used in the form of:

  • inhalations;
  • lotions;
  • infusion;
  • bath;
  • stone massage.

Healing baths will relieve stress. Magical properties will protect both a person and his home from negativity. The crystal will benefit both men and women. Use the beneficial properties of the mineral.

In addition, rock is widely used in construction. It is used as lightweight concrete in construction.

Beautiful coal-black shungite was used to decorate the interior of cathedrals and subways.

In metallurgy, it is used as a source of silicon in the production of cast iron. In the same area it is used as a reducing agent.

Jewelry with mineral

Shungite Products
The range of products in which the gem is used is varied, unlike other stones. It is known that the mineral is used in cosmetology, medicine, jewelry production, esotericism and more.

Jewelry uses any color of metal with which the gem is combined. A short list of products indicates that most people can buy this gem and use it for its intended purpose.

  • the price of bracelets made of shungite beads ranges from $6 to $16, and depends on the diameter of the beads;
  • the cost of jewelry in the form of beads depends on the shape of the elements, diameter and number of beads, the minimum price is $13, the maximum is $52;
  • amulets in the form of keychains or pendants cost the least - $2.5, and more sophisticated ones cost about $6;
  • a keychain made of elite shungite costs about $10;
  • magic pyramids are assessed depending on the method of processing the mineral, the price ranges between $2.5 and $10.5;
  • pellet used for home massage within the amount of $3–4;
  • shungite for baths and foot massage costs about $15;
  • the price of a jug with a shungite filter reaches $25.

As you can see, getting into possession of a stone of amazing power is not a tricky matter; the abundance and prices are affordable for every consumer. Those who wish to purchase an exclusively made jewelry sample of a stone can be sure that this will not require huge expenses.

Important!

When purchasing a product made of natural stone, you should ask the seller for a document certifying that the material is original.

Treatment with shungite

Unique healing properties of shungite and shungite sources

for a long time there was no scientific explanation.

The mystery of shungite was revealed just a few years ago. It turned out that the mysterious quintessence of shungite are Fullerenes - the third form of carbon after diamond and graphite in the form of absolutely symmetrical hollow balls of 60 or 70 carbon atoms.

The first to prove that the special properties of shungite are associated with the presence of fullerenes was the group of Grigory Andrievsky, working at the Institute of Therapy of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. In addition to Ukrainian scientists, today experiments with fullerenes are being conducted in Russia: at Moscow State University, the Institute of Immunology and other world-class scientific centers.

The first obtained and studied aqueous solutions of fullerenes are scientifically called “Andrievsky solutions.” Now there are solutions of fullerenes officially recognized by medicine - mineral water from shungite springs: the so-called “Martial water”; water extract of shungite, which today is sold as cosmetic water “Rosa” and other preparations from shungite, but so far this is balneology and parapharmaceuticals, but not pharmacology.

The unique properties of shungite and shungite waters are so noticeable when used that medicine has recognized their healing properties without even fully establishing the active principle.

The unusual action of Fullerenes lies in the fact that it is not a medicine in the usual sense of the word. The medicine treats a specific disease, and Fullerene acts at the systemic level. Fullerene does not fit into the usual pharmacological classification at all, since it acts without changing. But in general, it can be defined as an adaptogen and broad-spectrum immunomodulator.

At the moment, the first stage of fundamental research on shungite has been completed and the stage of introducing the developed drugs into widespread medical practice has begun.

Scientists have proven that the fundamental properties of fullerenes manifest themselves both at the cellular level and at the level of the entire human body.

What medicinal properties do fullerenes have?

First of all, these are the most powerful known antioxidants , suppressing the processes of peroxide and free radical oxidation.

Antioxidants

- these are substances, most of them vitamins, that cleanse the body of damaging molecules called free radicals. These molecules are constantly formed in the human body as a result of numerous redox processes aimed at maintaining the normal functioning of all organs and systems. Under natural conditions, the number of free radicals is small, and their pathological effect on the cells of the body is completely suppressed by the supply of antioxidants from outside (when a person consumes food containing these substances).

When the body is exposed to extreme factors (radiation, poisons), too many damaging molecules are formed, and in this case the body requires more antioxidants. It has been proven that the formation of a large number of free radicals is the initial stage of many diseases, from a simple cough to cancer.

The composition of any living cell necessarily includes antioxidants - ascorbic acid, tocopherols - vitamin E, carotenes and a number of others, the lack of which in humans leads to severe disorders such as scurvy, and some excess of them significantly strengthens the immune and reproductive systems, accelerates healing and tissue regeneration. This is precisely the pharmacological properties of vitamins C and E, carotenes and preparations containing them - sea buckthorn oil, wheat germ oil.

In other words, free radicals are a universal destructive principle, the quintessence of disease, responsible for aging, inflammation, oncology, and genetic disorders, while antioxidants are a universal protective, life-giving principle.

Perhaps antioxidants are the secret to longevity.

Increasing the content of antioxidants in the human body may be crucial for increasing life expectancy, American scientists believe that thanks to antioxidants, people could live longer than 100 years.

So, scientists have come to the conclusion that among the antioxidants known to date, Fullerenes, or more precisely, their aqueous solutions, are the most powerful. Fullerenes have the ability to reduce the concentration of free radicals, peroxide compounds and other so-called reactive oxygen species, without in any way inhibiting normal metabolism in the cells of the human body, just like other antioxidants. However, fullerenes are qualitatively superior to all other antioxidants in terms of strength and duration of action. Fullerenes as antioxidants are hundreds and thousands of times more effective than the same vitamins C and E, due to a different mechanism of action. Classic antioxidants are reducing agents: when they encounter a free radical, the molecule dies and is modified, forming a harmless compound with it. One molecule of antioxidant is used to neutralize one radical. And Fullerenes are catalysts. A fullerene ball has the property of collecting free radicals on its surface, which “stick” to it quite firmly, meeting on its surface, and recombine, connecting with each other - and the fullerene remains itself. Thanks to this, fullerene accelerates the recombination of free radicals hundreds and thousands of times. They act even in ultra-small doses: hundredths and thousandths of a percent of Fullerene act as effectively as tens of times larger doses of other antioxidants, and their effect even after a single injection into the body lasts for months.

Another biological property of Fullerene is its antitoxic effect , the ability to accelerate the neutralization of poisons and toxins of a wide variety of natures. Unmodified Fullerenes themselves are very inert and, as a result, low-toxic. They are excreted unchanged through the kidneys, and quite slowly. Fullerenes accumulate in the liver, being active hepatoprotectors - that is, drugs that protect the liver from toxic effects and accelerate the neutralization of toxins.

Internal toxins arising from burns and other necrotic processes are of a free radical nature. Therefore, all the laws governing the action of fullerenes remain the same here. Intoxication is reduced and healing is accelerated.

Another property of fullerenes: they normalize cellular metabolism, enhance the activity of enzymes and increase the resistance of the cell, including its genetic apparatus, to external influences, from heat to viral infection. The regenerative ability of tissues increases.

In the presence of fullerenes, the temperature of protein denaturation increases by 5-10°, which, by biological standards, is extremely high. For example, a normal body temperature of 36.5° is separated from the threshold of heat death - about 42° - the same 5°. Thus, a sharp increase in the resistance of biomolecules to overheating in the presence of fullerenes increases the thermal stability of the entire organism. So taking fullerenes, among other things, can increase the chances of survival in the desert.

Fullerenes normalize nervous processes, affecting the exchange of neurotransmitters, increasing performance and resistance to stress.

In addition, Fullerenes have a pronounced anti-inflammatory and antihistamine effect, due to which they relieve pain, suppress a wide range of allergic diseases and increase immunity.

Shungite paste

(Shungirite)

As for oncology...

At the Institute of Therapy of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, experiments were carried out on volunteers - cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy. So, in volunteers, the blood picture - hemoglobin level and other indicators - was restored within two weeks after irradiation. Usually, after such a course of radiation therapy, the blood picture is restored within three to four months. Here, fullerenes primarily protected red blood cells and the hematopoietic system.

It is known that radioprotectors are substances that are effective BEFORE irradiation.

And fullerenes, as experiments have shown, are effective both before and after irradiation.

At this stage of the research, the conclusion is this: Fullerenes relieve the side effects of radiation and chemical therapy and significantly - by one and a half to two times - inhibit the growth of tumors. But they only slow down, not cure! Therefore, fullerenes, in principle, cannot replace either treatment or, especially, cancer diagnosis. This is a good adjuvant in complex cancer therapy, but today, even in this capacity, fullerenes have not yet received official recognition as therapeutic drugs.

So, to date, scientists have obtained promising results of fundamental research, tested mainly on animals and cell cultures. But we must understand that shungite is not a ponacea. Until drugs and methods have been tested and tested in the prescribed manner, they cannot be called medicines and therapeutic methods.

Therefore, in the case of serious illnesses, diagnosis and initiation of treatment using already known methods should not be delayed.

Healing products from shungite, such as "Maksovit", are used to treat patients with various diagnoses in a number of sanatoriums in Russia.

You can read reports on the results of treatment in some sanatoriums in the country here:

Sanatorium “Krasivo”, Belgorod region:

— therapy of broncho-obstructive syndrome;

- osteocondritis of the spine;

- osteoarthritis.

Sanatorium "Aksakovskie Zori" Moscow region.
