Treatment with tincture of pine cones - instructions on how to take
Pine cones are a storehouse of useful substances, and vodka is a good solvent that effectively extracts these substances.
The infusion is used for coughs, bronchitis, pneumonia, stroke, hypertension, gastrointestinal problems, joint diseases, ulcers, gastritis and a number of other diseases, and also as a preventative general tonic.
As a standard, for preventive purposes, pine tincture is taken once a day, a teaspoon in the morning. It is allowed to dilute it a little with water or honey.
For medicinal purposes, the frequency is increased to three times a day, a teaspoon. If the patient experiences pressure changes, the dose is reduced to a coffee spoon.
Take from 2 weeks to 6 months with a week break every month. The dosage and frequency of administration may vary depending on the specific therapeutic purpose and characteristics of the body.
It is interesting that, in addition to cones, almost all parts of pine are used in folk medicine: bark, needles, buds, shoots, resin and pollen.
For vessels
Unimpeded blood flow is important for the normal functioning of any organ, especially the brain.
Vascular damage leads to a deficiency of oxygen and nutrients, which threatens myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, ischemic stroke, cardiosclerosis and a number of other diseases.
- Tannins (polyphenolic compounds) contained in cones make vascular walls stronger, reduce their permeability, and prevent the formation of blood clots.
- Pycnogenol increases blood fluidity, improves metabolism in brain cells, and has an antihypoxic effect.
- Resveratrol, a strong antioxidant, stimulates the formation of vasodilator substances and prevents vascular plaques from attaching to the walls of blood vessels.
To prevent vascular diseases, take the tincture once a day, either in the morning on an empty stomach, or at night, adding it to hot tea with honey. In both cases, the dosage is 1 teaspoon. Drink no longer than six months with a week break every month.
? For medicinal purposes, the size of a single dosage is maintained (1 tsp), but the frequency of administration is increased to three times a day, drunk half an hour before meals. The maximum period of admission is 6 months.
From a stroke
The tincture is effective in the pre-stroke state and during the rehabilitation period, but in the acute period after a stroke you should avoid using it. It is used for both hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes.
- The already mentioned tannins stop neuronal atrophy (cell death), which reduces the risk of paralysis.
- Polyphenols also restore damaged cells, saturate them with oxygen, improve memory, and eliminate tinnitus.
- Phytoncides (essential oils) increase immunity weakened by stroke and have antimicrobial and tonic properties.
After a stroke and a course of medical treatment, the tincture is taken three times a day after meals, one teaspoon. Duration of treatment: 6 months. Every 30 days take a break of 5-7 days.
For preventive purposes, it is enough to take one teaspoon per day, the duration of administration and breaks are the same.
For hypertension
According to statistics, in 89% of cases hypertension ends in stroke, heart attack or death. Therefore, its prevention and treatment should be taken seriously.
- The infusion has a diuretic effect, removes excess fluid, which helps lower blood pressure.
- Pycnogenol reduces the amount of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) - protein compounds that carry “bad” cholesterol. Their elevated levels contribute to the formation of cholesterol plaques and blockage of blood vessels.
- S-methylmethionine (vitamin U) cleanses blood vessels, increases their elasticity, and prevents atherosclerosis.
To normalize blood pressure, add a teaspoon of infusion to warm tea. There should be no more than three such receptions per day. Another option for use is a teaspoon once a day immediately after breakfast.
The total period of continuous use should not exceed 6 months. Every 30 days it is recommended to take five- to seven-day breaks.

For joint pain, combine the use of tincture orally with rubbing and compresses. The liquid stops inflammatory processes, reduces pain, relieves stiffness of movement, and improves blood flow to inflamed areas.
Externally, rub the infusion on the joints before going to bed, then wrap them in woolen cloth. During the day, you can make a compress: moisten a cotton cloth or gauze in the tincture, wrap it around the sore joint, secure it with a mesh tubular bandage, put on warm clothes or wrap it in a woolen cloth, and hold for 1-2 hours.
In parallel, to stimulate the removal of salts and reduce inflammation, drink a teaspoon of tincture in the morning on an empty stomach for 3-4 weeks.

The tincture of cones is effective for both colds and infections.

- Essential oils improve the functioning of the respiratory system.
To combat cough, mix 300 milliliters of infusion with 100 grams of honey and 100 grams of aloe juice, and leave the mixture for a day in a dark place. Take a tablespoon three times a day. Shake before use.
In its pure form, drink the tincture three times a day, taking a dessert spoon before meals.
For prevention during the season of ARVI and colds, a teaspoon of infusion is added to tea twice a day.
For diseases of the gastrointestinal tract
Pine tincture has a positive effect on the stomach, pancreas and intestines.
Thanks to its bactericidal properties and the ability to heal damaged mucous membranes, it fights gastritis, ulcers, and intestinal infections.
However, in acute forms of the disease, on the contrary, it can lead to complications.
For non-acute forms of gastrointestinal diseases, a monthly course is given. Drink the tincture three times a day, 20-25 minutes before meals, one tablespoon.
For immunity
The tincture has a general strengthening effect on the body, serves as a prevention of vitamin deficiency, scurvy and anemia, and restores after viral infections. Bioflavonoids in its composition accelerate metabolic processes, carotene neutralizes free radicals.
To “impact” boost immunity, the tincture is consumed three times a day, a tablespoon at a time, for 7-10 days. For prevention, a single dose per day is sufficient, repeating a weekly course every three months.

How to collect pine cones (with video)
The benefits of the tincture directly depend on the quality of the raw materials.
The process of collecting cones has its own tricks and rules:
- For cones they go to ecologically clean areas, to mature pine forests. Park areas are considered only as a last resort. Cones collected near industrial facilities and highways can cause harm to the body.
- In the southern zone, cones can be collected as early as May-June, in the middle zone - in July, in the Urals and Siberia - in August.
- First, the tree is inspected; it should not be eaten away by insects.
- Cones are taken only from the tree; fallen ones are not collected.
- They should be green, resinous, dense, and easy to cut with a knife. If you don’t have a knife, you can pick off the bump with your fingernail or bite it. Size no more than 4 cm.
- Preference should be given to “female” cones; they are easy to recognize by their ribbed scales.
- If you collect more than you plan to use immediately, the excess can be dried or frozen. Most of the nutrients will remain.
- Fresh buds must be processed within three days of collection.
- Frozen and dried can be stored for up to 2 years.

There is some debate about whether to wash the collected pine cones or not. Some of the resinous substances leave with water. But still, if the collection was not carried out in dense Siberian forests, it is better to wash the raw materials to get rid of potential contaminants and toxins.
