Symptoms and treatment of inflammation of the spleen at home quickly and effectively

Causes of the disease

Before starting treatment, you need to figure out what caused the disease and eliminate the causes of the disease. If this is not done, there is a risk of relapse. Often people experience an enlargement of this organ, provoked by various factors. Causes of enlarged spleen:

  • accumulation of harmful substances in the human body;
  • an infectious disease for which antibacterial drugs were used;
  • problems with blood flow - stagnation of blood provokes an enlargement of the spleen;
  • blood diseases.

It is impossible to determine the cause of the disease on your own; even a doctor is not always able to make an accurate diagnosis without special studies, since a number of additional factors can provoke the disease. Treatment of the spleen using folk remedies is permitted only in the absence of severe pathologies. If complications occur, it is recommended to use medications.

Prevention of spleen diseases

An unhealthy lifestyle causes great harm to the spleen. For good organ function, you should give up tobacco and alcohol. The spleen is not best affected by direct injuries to the sternum and abdominal area.

Nutrition plays a major role in the successful functioning of the organ. If you have signs of spleen disease, then you should completely give up alcohol and strict mono-diet. Dishes of fish, liver, beets and carrots, walnuts, and lingonberries are welcome on the table. A decoction of rowan berries has a very good effect on the organ. Let this decoction replace your tea.

When treating with folk recipes, you must always be careful; an overdose of certain components in decoctions and tinctures is unacceptable.

It should also be remembered that folk remedies, although they seem harmless at first glance, are not always compatible with medications. Before using infusions, you should consult your doctor.

Pain in the spleen: causes and associated symptoms.

Only when the disease moves to a later stage of development does a person develop a pronounced malaise. And since disturbances in the functioning of the spleen are fraught with dangerous complications, everyone should know about their symptoms.

Symptoms

Each of the diseases has its own symptoms, but doctors identify a number of common signals observed with organ enlargement. Symptoms of inflammation of the spleen are as follows:

  • the organ has increased in size;
  • the body's defenses are weakened;
  • low hemoglobin level;
  • pain on the left side, just above the abdominal cavity (with pain in the spleen, the sensations can be either very pronounced, radiating to the back and arm, or almost not attracting attention);
  • when pressing on the skin, bruises remain, even if no force was applied;
  • nausea turning into bouts of vomiting;
  • the stomach feels full;
  • increased fatigue that appears even in the absence of physical or mental activity;
  • lethargy, apathy;
  • jumps in body temperature.

ethnoscience

Treatment with folk remedies for pain in the spleen only relieves symptoms. They can be used provided there is no serious pathological process or significant mechanical damage to organ tissue:

  • An enlarged spleen can be reduced with honey ointment. To prepare it, you need to take honey and butter in equal proportions and melt. Mix with the same amount of grated ginger root (you can use dried ground ginger). Apply a thin layer of the product to the area where the pain is most intense. You need to treat the pathology with this remedy for at least 50 days, doing the procedure 2-3 times a day.
  • To relieve the inflammatory process in the spleen, you can take a decoction of shepherd's purse. To do this, pour 1-2 g of dry raw material into 1.5 cups of boiling water and leave for 20 minutes. Filter the finished product and cool. Take 15 ml 5-6 times a day.
  • Raisins help well if there are tumor processes in the spleen. To prepare the medicine, you need to pour 50 g of dried grapes with 300 ml of grape vinegar and leave in a warm place overnight. In the morning you need to drink 1-2 tbsp. l. ready infusion and eat all the berries. With regular use of this remedy, spleen tumors quickly resolve. But this applies only to those neoplasms that are benign in nature.

If the medicine does not help, and your health is rapidly deteriorating, you should not experiment. You must go to the hospital immediately. The spleen performs vital functions in the human body, and disruption of its function can lead to extremely dangerous consequences.

Tablets against enlarged spleen

Treatment with medications is carried out under the supervision of a doctor, after an accurate diagnosis. To prevent the development of diseases, the following are prescribed:

  • antibiotics (Cefazolin, Erothromycin, Amikacin, Cefotaxime);
  • painkillers (Ibuprofen, Nimesulide, Analgin, Paracetamol);
  • anti-inflammatory drugs (Dinebol, Ketorol, Lospirin, Movalis).

The drug, dosage, and duration of treatment should be prescribed by a gastroenterologist. Self-medication for diseases of the spleen is strictly prohibited - errors in the use of drugs provoke the spread of the disease and dangerous complications.

Treatment with millet

In folk medicine, millet is used to treat various diseases, but products based on it are often recommended for removing toxins from the body. Harmful substances often accumulate in the spleen, so cleansing with millet helps cope with enlargement and relieve pain.

Preparation:

  1. Rinse 250 gr. millet.
  2. Pour water (2 liters) over the millet and cook, avoiding boiling. The cereal should be completely boiled.
  3. Drain the broth and use for treatment.

Drink the prepared product throughout the day. Dosage for one time – 100 ml. Duration of treatment is a week. If necessary, repeat the course after a break of 7-10 days.

Treatment with infusions

Humanity knows many methods of treating the spleen with folk remedies at home. By themselves, they cannot cure a specific disease. Traditional folk remedies can only improve the condition of a diseased organ. For these purposes, various herbal infusions (chaga, chicory) are used. This promotes a speedy recovery.

Chaga infusion

Chaga mushroom has been used in folk medicine for a long time. Helps well against spleen diseases. It has a sterile form and grows on tree trunks (birch, rowan, alder, beech, elm and maple). This plant must be harvested correctly. Only a live mushroom from a living tree has a healing effect. It consists of three layers. It is the middle layer that is considered healing. It is collected all year round. Its healing properties have been known since ancient times: restorative, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antiseptic, diuretic, analgesic, laxative and antimicrobial. Therefore, infusions of chaga mushroom help strengthen and cleanse the spleen.

Traditional medicine knows many recipes using this remedy. To prepare a medicinal tincture, you need to grate a fresh or dried mushroom. Pre-soak the latter for 6 hours. Pour in warm boiled water at a ratio of 1:5. Leave for 2 days.

For a mild form of spleen disease, you can use a different recipe. Pour 1 part of the plant into 5 parts of hot boiled water. Leave for 1 day, strain everything and take half a glass.

The infusions should be taken for 21 days. However, this remedy has contraindications - during pregnancy and lactation.

Chicory infusion

Another folk remedy is chicory. Chicory flowers look inconspicuous, but the root is very useful due to its properties (antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, sedative, appetite stimulant, choleretic agent). Chicory is not a medicinal product. However, it also has its contraindications: diseases of the nervous system, cholelithiasis.

To prepare a tincture from this plant, mix 20 grams. grated root with a small amount of liquid and leave for half an hour. Strain well through a clean cloth. Treat orally 3 times a day.

The extract of this plant is sold in pharmacies. Dilute 2 teaspoons in a glass of warm melted water and drink as tea.

Treatment with wormwood

A decoction based on wormwood will help quickly cure the spleen. Homemade medicine can cause allergies, so during the course of treatment, monitor your general health - if irritation appears on the skin, stop taking it and consult a doctor.

Preparation:

  1. Place 20 grams in a small container. wormwood.
  2. Bring water (220 ml) to a boil and brew the plant material.
  3. Infuse under the lid; to obtain a rich decoction, wrap the container with a towel.

Take the product three times a day, it is recommended to take it half an hour before meals. Dosage for one time – 100 ml. The duration of the course of treatment is two weeks.

Decoction therapy

Decoctions occupy an important place in folk medicine for diseases of the spleen. The effect of their action is long-lasting, due to the fact that they are absorbed gradually. If you use folk remedies to treat the spleen, the most effective herbs are St. John's wort and wormwood.

St. John's wort decoction

An effective remedy is St. John's wort - it is a medicinal plant that reaches 80 cm in height. Grows in forest and forest-steppe zones. It has many healing properties: anti-inflammatory and bactericidal effects, rapid regeneration of damaged tissues. It contains: essential oil, tannins, vitamins C, E, and A, phytoncides.

A medicinal decoction is made from this folk remedy: put 1.5 tablespoons of primary raw materials in hot water, heat for 20 minutes, cool and take 1/3 cup 3 times a day.

This folk medicine has contraindications: pregnancy and lactation, taking antibiotics, liver disease, hypertension, constipation, taking antidepressants, AIDS.

Wormwood decoction

The therapeutic effect of wormwood in folk medicine is explained by the composition of the substances: absinthine, anabsintin, vitamins C, B6 and A, malic and succinic acids, tannins, carotene. They collect it with gloves in May-June. The tops are collected during active flowering in July-August.

A classic decoction based on this herb for treatment can be prepared at home. Soak 2 handfuls in water and heat over the fire for a couple of minutes. Drink a little 3 times a day.

Wormwood is a poisonous herb, so taking it for more than two weeks is prohibited.

Diseases of the spleen are quite dangerous and can cause problems with important organs. Timely consultation with a doctor, accurate diagnosis and strict adherence to the recommendations of traditional or traditional medicine will help prevent unwanted consequences and quickly cope with the disease.

Improvement of the spleen

You can perform this procedure either lying on your back or sitting - the main thing is to take a position in which you can relax your abdominal muscles as much as possible (lying on your back, this is usually easier to do when your knees are bent). Don't forget about a positive emotional attitude. Working with the spleen is almost similar to working with the liver - only there the manipulations are carried out in the right hypochondrium, and here - in the left. The four fingers of the left hand, helped by pressing from above by the right hand, go as deep as possible under the ribs.

First, this is done at the highest point of the left hypochondrium, that is, closer to the center of the abdomen. Pressure is applied from bottom to top, at an angle: until slight pain appears. The pressure is suspended until the pain stops, then the hand is moved lower along the hypochondrium, and similar pressure is also applied there. You can hold your fingers at the painful point for up to three minutes. This is done until the entire hypochondrium area is anesthetized. After pain relief, pressure is applied again along the entire edge of the ribs to check whether the pain has returned. If it returns, apply pressure again with a delay until the pain is eliminated.

This procedure can be performed every day, and if the pain does not go away or returns again, then twice a day. Every day the pain will decrease, and the hand will go deeper and deeper under the ribs.

Lymphomassage

Professor Ogulov recommends doing manual lymphomassage to prevent diseases of the lymphatic system, as it improves lymph flow, increases the body's protective functions, helping it cope with infection more easily.

The massage is performed simply - you need to quite noticeably pinch your skin, and not only pinch, but, after pinching, also twist and twist the skin. Try to endure the pain and not be too gentle with yourself: gentle pinching will be of no use. You need to start with the abdominal area and pinch it properly for ten minutes. For the first time, you can limit yourself to this. Next time (and for those who wish, even during the first massage session), you can go further: after such a massage of the abdomen, pinch the chest, legs, accessible areas of the back, and buttocks. It is on the buttocks that a significant number of painful areas can be found. This just speaks of disturbances in the flow of lymph, blood circulation, congestion and hidden foci of infection and inflammation. For the prevention and treatment of infectious and inflammatory processes, it is very useful to properly pinch your buttocks until these painful areas are eliminated.

Herbal medicine for the spleen

• If during visceral therapy of the spleen the pain does not go away or goes away and then returns, you can help yourself by taking an infusion of chicory root, which relieves pain well and soothes discomfort in the spleen area. You need to pour a glass of boiling water over 20 g of crushed root, leave, wrapped, for half an hour, take a tablespoon 3 times a day. Chicory leaves, steamed with boiling water, can be applied externally to the spleen area.

• Soreness and swelling of the spleen can be relieved with an infusion of hop cones. Pour 10 g of hop cones into a glass of boiling water, leave, wrapped, for half an hour, strain, take 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day. The sediment remaining after straining can be used as a poultice on a sore spot.

• With an enlarged spleen, a collection of yarrow flowers and herbs mixed in equal parts and calendula flowers helps: 20 g of this mixture is poured into a glass of boiling water, left to steep, wrapped, for 40 minutes, take a third of a glass 2 times a day.

• A good remedy for disorders of the spleen is an infusion of silver wormwood. Brew one teaspoon of herb in two cups of boiling water. Leave, wrapped, for half an hour, strain, drink with honey or sugar (like tea) a quarter glass 3 times a day, half an hour before meals.

Exercise for the spleen

Some yoga exercises are very good at stimulating the spleen and improving its function. Here is a small yoga complex that has the most beneficial effect on the spleen.

Exercise 1. Stand straight, arms along your body, feet together, make sure that your body weight rests on the center of your feet. The big toes need to be relaxed and extended forward as much as possible. Tighten your knees and, as it were, pull your kneecaps up. Tighten your thighs and buttocks, straighten your chest, keep your head straight. The stomach is tucked in, the legs are straight, the back is straight. Stand like this for 30 seconds, breathing evenly and calmly.

Exercise 2. Continuing to strain your knees, inhaling, extend your arms towards the ceiling, palms forward, while your feet do not leave the floor, but your whole body is extended upward. We must try to stretch the spine as much as possible. As you exhale, bend forward, trying to reach the floor with your hands on the sides of your feet. As you inhale, bend down and reach the floor with your hands, lift your head forward and up, arching your spine, and exhale. While standing in this pose, take another breath, and as you exhale, lower your head and tilt it as close to your knees as possible. Breathing spontaneously, stay in this pose for 30 seconds to a minute.

Exercise 3. Bend your knees and step back first one leg and then the other about a meter. Place your palms on the floor in front of you. The distance between the feet is approximately 30 - 35 centimeters, and the same between the palms. Straighten your legs and try to keep your heels off the floor. If this fails, you can raise your heels and rest them against the wall. Begin to slowly tilt your body lower, trying to touch the crown of your head to the floor. To do this, you need to stretch your arms forward as much as possible (without bending them at the elbows), and your legs (also straight) back, pushing your hips back, moving your body towards your legs.

It will not be possible to touch the crown of your head to the floor the first time; this requires training. But we need to strive for this. To begin with, it is recommended to place a pillow on the floor and rest your head on it. In the final pose you need to stay for 20 seconds. The arms and legs are straight, the spine is extended as much as possible. It is very important that there is support for the head. If you cannot even reach the pillow lying on the floor with your head, you can use a low stool or a stack of books.

These exercises not only tone the spleen, but also improve blood circulation, which allows (with constant practice) to cope even with diseases such as anemia (anemia). In addition, this way you can get rid of pain in the abdominal area.
