Turpentine baths bath balm according to the Zalmanov method yellow 250 ml N 1

The mechanism of action of turpentine baths - features of the effect

Resin is considered a natural catalyst for reactions, after which there are no negative consequences.

Turpentine-based baths have a thermal effect, they irritate nerve endings and initiate biochemical processes in the body, releasing carbon dioxide and histamine.

The latter substance opens unopened capillaries, and CO2 stimulates respiratory processes. This has great benefits for the body as a whole, it allows you to increase the efficiency of the central nervous system, improve the passage of metabolic processes in the body and increase immunity.

Pine essential oils move blood in the vessels so that all cells are saturated with oxygen and receive their nutrition, while removing decay products.

Active blood flow enhances protective functions, due to which recovery occurs.

Depending on the type of bath, turpentine can have different effects.

Yellow solutions:

  • have a tonic effect,
  • strengthen muscles,
  • destroy calcium deposits in the ligament area,
  • improve blood flow,
  • sodium chloride is removed from the body through sweat,
  • increase the functioning of capillaries,
  • eliminate congestion in blood vessels,
  • increase the body's resistance to environmental influences.

White baths have a slightly different effect, they increase blood flow in the organs and open the capillaries in the lungs, relieve pain without retaining heat.

Also white solution:

  • improves kidney and liver function,
  • restores muscle function,
  • tones the skin,
  • restores capillary function,
  • increases the body's performance.

Benefits of turpentine baths

The benefit of turpentine baths is that they are a universal method of healing the body, lead to increased metabolic processes, remove toxins, stimulate self-regulation processes and the immune system. Turpentine baths are an effective means of rejuvenating the body, preventing premature aging, improving physical condition, increasing efficiency and vitality. They are also useful for those who consider themselves practically healthy. Turpentine baths help normalize fat metabolism. Turpentine baths relieve stress, increase efficiency and tone the body. The benefit of turpentine baths also lies in the fact that they strengthen the immune system, helping to quickly recover from many diseases. The use of turpentine baths improves the nutrition of tissues and organs, which helps restore their vital functions. Closed capillaries open, toxins are actively removed, and new life is literally breathed into a person. Turpentine baths are useful for preventive purposes, as protection against various viruses.

Argo Consumer Society recommends:

Types of turpentine baths

Self-regulation of the body and self-purification through the synthesis of hormones, active substances and enzymes is the basis for the effect of bath products on the body. All of these factors activate the immune system and make it possible to eliminate deviations in well-being using forces from the body.

Zalmanov conducted various experiments, during which he created several unique emulsions for the prevention and treatment of ailments. Today there are several varieties that are sold in all pharmacies.

White turpentine baths

Emulsion composition:

  • turpentine,
  • salicylic acid,
  • baby soap,
  • camphor alcohol.

The acid in the composition provides a bactericidal effect and slightly irritates the skin, so a burning sensation may be felt during the procedure.

Yellow turpentine baths

Yellow emulsion includes:

  • Castor oil,
  • turpentine,
  • sodium hydroxide,
  • oleic acid.

These baths, on the contrary, reduce blood pressure. The effect of the emulsion is to warm up the entire body, enhance sweat secretion, and normalize the function of the entire vascular communication system. Restoration of blood vessels leads to the elimination of toxins and cleaning from the inside. Cleansing is achieved by enlarging the skin pores and profuse sweating. The product eliminates pain on the skin, joints and soft tissues.

Mixed turpentine baths

When mixing the first and second types, an enhanced effect on the body is ensured. The product has a positive effect from white and yellow emulsion at the same time. An important difference is that there is no significant impact on the pressure level, since the effects compensate each other. Due to the lack of a pronounced effect on blood pressure, mixed baths are indicated for more people.

Dry baths Zalmanov

Modern technologies have made it possible to turn water emulsions into balms that are rubbed on the surface of the body and create a slim figure, eliminating sagging skin. The substance is based on the principle of fat formation, which prevents the appearance of lipid compounds.

The composition of dry baths varies greatly depending on the manufacturer; you can often find the following ingredients:

  • green coffee,
  • chestnut,
  • grapefruit or orange essential oil,
  • fucus extract.

Use the product by rubbing into the problem area until the balm is completely absorbed.

There are two basic solutions and 10 multi-active auxiliary extracts “Skipofit”.

Basic solutions:

  • yellow solution,
  • white emulsion.

Multiactive auxiliary extracts (for rubbing and bathing):

  • "Movement".
  • "Sap".
  • "Normalization of weight."
  • "General strengthening."
  • "Blood cleanser."
  • "Rejuvenating"
  • "Male".
  • "Female."
  • "Tone".
  • "Relax."

All turpentine procedures according to Zalmanov’s method are divided into baths:

  • white,
  • yellow,
  • mixed,
  • dry.

These procedures differ from each other in composition and execution mechanism. White and yellow baths share the property of normalizing capillary blood flow. They also have a bactericidal and anesthetic effect. The ability to launch self-healing processes. The composition of the mixed bath is influenced by blood pressure and the type of disease.

White turpentine baths

There are two types of emulsion for preparing a bath, yellow and white. White baths cause rhythmic contractions and expansions of capillaries. This usually increases blood pressure. White baths do not increase the temperature and do not cause excessive sweating. However, they have a stronger irritant effect (tingling or burning of the skin) than yellow baths. The white turpentine bath is intended for people with low blood pressure . White turpentine baths are prepared with the so-called white turpentine emulsion. White turpentine baths are considered a kind of “gymnastic” for capillaries, especially skin capillaries, since they stimulate their pulsation and restore their ability to adequately respond to external and internal conditions - to expand and contract when necessary. They stimulate the skin capillaries and all organs, affecting the entire body as a whole, improving its condition. Dissolution of various salt deposits occurs both in joints and blood vessels and in all organs. Stiff, stiff ligaments, tendons and muscles become more elastic and mobile. In this case, an increase in blood pressure may occur, but slowly without sudden jumps. This is how baths with white turpentine emulsion affect the body.

Turpentine baths - beneficial properties and rules of use

Before the procedure, you should prepare a thermometer, beaker, watch and emulsion. You need to take baths on an empty stomach, and do not eat anything 2 hours before your appointment. You should take a bath every other day, increasing the amount of use to 2 times a day, but take a break every third day.

Instructions for use:

  1. The bath is filled with water at a temperature of 37 °C, otherwise the turpentine will not melt.
  2. The mixture is being prepared. To do this, water and emulsion are poured into the container. After diluting in hot water, you need to pour the mixture into the bath and stir.
  3. The duration of the appointment is 5–15 minutes. Initially, 5 minutes will be enough.
  4. Turpentine is an oily substance and should be used with extreme caution. There is no need to wash off the mixture, let it stay like this for 1-2 hours, but for now you can walk around in a robe and spend time reading a book or movie.

When you need to relieve stress, improve your performance, boost your immunity and speed up the treatment of various diseases, turpentine will come to the rescue.

Baths made from the product of distilling coniferous tree resin with water vapor do an excellent job of these functions, which was discovered by A. S. Zalmanov to the world.

What are turpentine baths?

Turpentine baths - history of origin

Turpentine is an essential oil from the resin of pine or other coniferous trees, used as a natural medicine for the treatment of arthritis, rheumatism, and osteochondrosis.

Also called “turpentine oil”.

Even in Ancient Egypt, it was used as compresses and poultices, and was used for wounds and bleeding. In the 16th century it was used against the world-famous plague, because this remedy has bactericidal properties.

For some time, turpentine was used in the form of ointments or rubs.

Russian surgeon N.I. Pirogov, using “resin”, as this oil is also called, healed the wounds of soldiers after amputation operations in wartime at the front.

Only in 1904 A.S. Zalmanov studied this product, recreating it in the form of an emulsion.

Abram Solomonovich was a famous doctor of medicine, and he proposed using the product of distillation of pine resin as a medicine.

Using a bath with turpentine according to Zalmanov keeps the body in good shape and stimulates its protective functions, affecting the entire skin.

Baths with the addition of pine essential oil improve blood flow in tissues where blood circulation has been impaired and provide oxygen saturation of cells.

The emulsified composition of turpentine, when it gets on the skin, enlarges capillaries and increases their number.

This method of treatment quickly spread in many areas of medicine and became popular.

Turpentine baths come in several varieties:

  1. white,
  2. yellow
  3. mixed.

White solutions are already emulsified, that is, water-soluble turpentine. One of the most common such emulsions on sale is called “Skipar”.

  • The basic white solution consists of turpentine, olive oil, salt and herbal extracts.
  • The yellow solution contains turpentine with castor oil and polyunsaturated fatty acids.
  • Various pinenes and herbal extracts are added to the mixed ones. A mixture of yellow and white solutions normalizes blood pressure levels.

But usually there are medicinal components that affect the body differently.

There are extracts:

  • for weight loss,
  • for cellular rejuvenation and slowing down skin aging,
  • to improve the functioning of internal organs,
  • to improve the performance of male reproductive function,
  • for general strengthening of the immune system, for removing waste and toxins,
  • to improve the functioning of the nervous system and normalize the mental state.

This or that type of turpentine bath is used for certain diseases, the list of which should be known to everyone who has chosen this method of treatment.

So, indications for the use of white solutions:

  • consequences of cerebral palsy with low blood pressure,
  • angina pectoris with pressure not higher than 150,
  • arthritis without increased blood pressure,
  • ankylosing spondylitis,
  • sciatica and cervicobrachial neuritis (with low pressure, respectively),
  • post-traumatic ankylosis and various injuries.

For yellow solutions, the list of acceptable diagnoses looks slightly different:

  • increased blood pressure,
  • exostoses,
  • myelopathy,
  • cerebral hemorrhages,
  • sciatica and cervicobrachial neuritis (with high blood pressure),
  • problems with the musculoskeletal system, in particular loss of the ability to walk,
  • post-traumatic ankylosis (after treatment with white emulsion).

Mixed baths have their own number of indications, for which it is strongly recommended to choose this particular type:

  • polyneuritis,
  • Raynaud's disease,
  • cerebral palsy,
  • iridocyclitis,
  • high pressure,
  • myocardial infarction (after 6 weeks),
  • Andexites.

It is important to remember that when the pressure is normal, it is necessary to alternately use both the white solution and the yellow one, gradually increasing the concentration of the product.

Blood pressure higher than normal requires a different course: they start with a yellow bath (about 6 doses), and then switch to mixed ones.

Low blood pressure requires starting with white solutions (4 procedures on average) and after blood pressure returns to normal, alternating white solutions with mixed ones.

The main thing you need during treatment with turpentine baths is to always carefully monitor your blood pressure, since its indicators affect the type of bath chosen.

The main parameters that need to be taken into account before making a turpentine bath are the following data:

  • a share of turpentine in the bath,
  • water temperature,
  • how long does the procedure take?
  • How often do you take a turpentine bath?
  • duration of the course.

All of the above parameters directly depend on the diagnosis, the condition of the body, age indications and the selected type of bath.

When deciding how to take a turpentine bath, do not forget that it should be no more than once every 2 days, but the frequency depends on your state of health and personal preferences.

Baths with turpentine do not require further rinsing, because then the effect of the resin will be lost. After the procedure, it is advisable to wrap yourself in a warm terry robe and rest for a couple of hours.

The proportions for preparing baths can be different, but basically the following recipe is used: per 100 liters of water (bath capacity) - 10-15 ml of resin.

The proportion of white solution with each further bath should be gradually increased by 3 ml (maximum 60 ml).

This will gradually prepare the body for treatment with this essential oil. The amount of yellow solution also needs to be increased, but by 5 ml, bringing its concentration to 60 ml for the same volume of water.

The water temperature should be approximately 36°C, however, you can increase the temperature to 42. If your health becomes worse under this regime, you should stay at the initial values. You can spend an average of 10 to 20 minutes in the bathroom. Usually, 15 is enough for a full effect.

For those who cannot take a bath for some reason, there is a special rubbing product. The so-called dry baths with turpentine. They can be used between regular oleoresin baths.

Turpentine baths enhance the effects of drugs by improving their delivery to the affected organ. With prostatitis, inflammation quickly resolves. Thanks to improved microcirculation, prostate function is normalized. By the tenth procedure, all manifestations of prostatitis, including its complications, are leveled out.

Zalmanov's baths are a miracle cure. They can rid the body of many diseases. They are often recommended for diseases:

  • of cardio-vascular system,
  • digestive tract,
  • bronchopulmonary apparatus,
  • blood,
  • endocrine gland,
  • central nervous system,
  • of a surgical nature,
  • kidney organ,
  • genitourinary system,
  • ENT organs,
  • eye,
  • gynecological sphere,
  • skin,
  • articular and musculoskeletal systems.

Dr. Zalmanov’s turpentine baths are prescribed to children for the same ailments as in adults. They are recommended for chronic fatigue and to restore performance. They rejuvenate the body and give strength. Maintains beauty and health.

Turpentine therapy is divided into three main stages:

  • preparing the bath itself,
  • acceptance of the procedure
  • rest.

At the first stage, the bath is filled with water at 36 (1) ° C to the initial level, which is located 10 cm below the safety drain hole. The more thoroughly the body is immersed in the turpentine liquid, the higher the result will be. Then pour the required dose of Zalman’s solution into the prepared container, the volume of which should be at least 0.5 liters. And dilute the substance with hot water from the tap. The solution is stirred well with a spoon and poured into the bath, where everything is mixed again with your hands.

The second stage involves taking a bath. The procedure lasts a certain time, so you need to mark its beginning. After immersing the body in the bath, open the tap and add hot water so that the temperature rises by 1-2 °C. At this time, relax the body as much as possible and lie quietly for 10-20 minutes. For a white bath, the temperature should reach 39 (1) °C. Yellow requires a temperature of 40.5-42 °C. The temperature of the first turpentine baths should not exceed 39-40 °C.

A special moment in taking a bath is the appearance of sweat. If it appears on the face, you should immediately finish the water procedure. This means that the cleansing process has begun and the body has reached the required level. At the end of the event, the skin is not wiped. A robe or towel is placed over the body. They immediately go to bed.

The final stage is rest. It is this that will allow you to get the maximum effect from turpentine baths. You should stay in bed for 1-2 hours. You need to try to sweat a lot during this time. For this purpose, you need to cover yourself with a blanket or, better yet, two. It is recommended to drink hot tea made from herbs that have a diaphoretic effect. This is exactly how treatment with Zalmanov baths should end.

You don’t have to go to a sanatorium to take a Zalmanov bath. All procedures can be arranged at home. To do this you will need:

  • bath,
  • water (both cold and hot),
  • thermometer with a scale of 50 °C,
  • beaker,
  • tonometer and stethoscope for measuring blood pressure,
  • watch,
  • a mirror to monitor perspiration in the face area.

Zalmanov turpentine baths

Dear visitors to our online store Argo, what do you know about turpentine baths? If you have not heard about turpentine baths, want to learn more about them, or buy a turpentine bath, then I recommend reading this article. The famous doctor Alexander Solomonovich Zalmanov was the first to use turpentine baths. That is why many people call such baths Zalmanov’s turpentine baths. Zalmanov created unique emulsions based on gum turpentine for the treatment and prevention of many diseases. Currently, the use of turpentine baths for medicinal purposes has become widespread, especially in spa treatment. Turpentine baths are hydrotherapy procedures and are widely used in medical practice.

Pre-procedure recommendations

It is recommended to follow the following diet for 1–2 weeks before the procedure:

  • remove fatty, salty, spicy and smoked foods from the diet,
  • reduce the amount of salt and meat,
  • add vegetables and fruits,
  • drink enough water - 2 liters,
  • do not drink alcohol.

The diet will help cleanse the body and properly prepare it for baths with turpentine.

Zalmanov's yellow baths are recommended for high blood pressure. The emulsion expands the capillaries and lowers the reading. In addition, it removes toxins, accelerates metabolism, and removes deposits in tissues, joint cavities and endoneurium. Stimulate blood circulation. The solution contains castor oil, olein and soda.

The components create a film on the surface of the water that maintains the temperature in the bath. During the procedure, body temperature increases, a therapeutic effect occurs, various deposits dissolve, sediment dissolves, and sweating is stimulated. Sodium and urea ions are expelled through the skin. But the pulse does not increase. The respiratory process does not accelerate either.

Turpentine baths according to Zalmanov have positive reviews. People consider them to be the most effective procedures. They say that changes in the body do not occur immediately. First, the skin feels soft, fatty tissues are reduced, and salt deposits are dissolved. The procedures cleanse the body and promote weight loss. Relaxes the nervous system and causes sweating.

Turpentine baths according to Zalmanov have a rather specific smell. Reviews note this too. Some people for this reason refused to take baths. Some people are annoyed by excessive sweating, which lasts about 3-4 hours after the procedure. There are also those users for whom turpentine baths did not help, but only caused severe allergies and intoxication of the body.

They say that the procedures had no effect on cellulite or weight. In addition, after the yellow emulsion, an unpleasant greasy film remains on the body. For some, the baths caused headaches. From all of the above, we can conclude that turpentine baths helped some people, and they were satisfied with the result. Others did not see any effect after using them. For others, they completely harmed them, causing allergies, burns and heart problems.

Turpentine bath No. 1 white

White turpentine bath according to Zalmanov is intended for people with low blood pressure.

Turpentine baths - contraindications

Turpentine baths can cause harm to adult patients if the prohibitions on the procedures are ignored. In such cases, there is likely to be a sharp exacerbation of existing pathologies, a significant jump in blood pressure, allergic reactions, abnormal heart rhythm, etc. The main contraindications for which turpentine baths are not performed:

  • open form of tuberculosis,
  • heart failure,
  • pregnancy,
  • lactation,
  • acute dermatological diseases,
  • malignant processes in the body,
  • arrhythmia,
  • acute phases of inflammatory processes,
  • hypersensitivity to the components of mixtures.

Turpentine baths are useful at any age; they are necessary for the prevention of metastases in the body, but this type of treatment also has its contraindications.

Turpentine can be harmful to those who:

  • open tuberculosis,
  • ischemic disease,
  • heart failure,
  • cirrhosis of the liver,
  • nephrosis,
  • malignant tumors,
  • phlebeurysm.

Turpentine is contraindicated for pregnant women (2-3 trimesters), as well as for those with damaged skin.

For all other diseases, it is better to visit a doctor and get advice on whether it is worth using turpentine as a remedy at home.

Be healthy!

Skipofit baths are a cosmetic product due to their safety. They can be taken by anyone at home. Limitations are related to water temperature. They are superimposed on common baths. At the same time, local baths can be done by everyone.

Before taking public baths, be sure to find out from your doctor whether these procedures can be done so that the water temperature is 36 °C.

White turpentine baths are contraindicated for use with high blood pressure, while yellow ones are contraindicated with low blood pressure.

But that is not all. Typically, turpentine baths have the following contraindications: trophic ulcers, cancer, conditions of cerebral stroke or acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, severe heart rhythm disturbances, pulmonary tuberculosis, etc. Experts also say that it is undesirable to use baths for girls during menstruation, as well as for pregnant women women and nursing mothers.

Despite the obvious benefits of Zalmanov’s baths, they should not be taken if a person suffers from an open form of tuberculosis, with arrhythmia and heart failure of degrees 2 and 3. The prohibition is hypertension, which is at the II-III stage of development. You cannot resort to such measures if you have acute skin diseases and scabies.

Pain in the joints that occurs after the procedure, as well as a slight increase in body temperature, is not a reason to cancel water activities. White baths are recommended for people with low or normal blood pressure. Yellow - for persons with an increased indicator.

Turpentine baths instructions for use

Before you start taking turpentine baths, you need to get instructions from your doctor in order to choose the right solution or emulsion depending on your blood pressure, general condition and diagnosis.

Turpentine baths are taken in courses of 10-12, and more if prescribed by a doctor. Baths can be taken daily, every other day, two days in a row with a break on the third day. To take baths, you need to have a water thermometer, a watch, a plastic beaker for measuring the amount of white emulsion or yellow solution, preferably a tonometer for measuring blood pressure, and medical Vaseline. In addition, you need to prepare a robe or large terry sheet. It is necessary to take precautions to avoid getting the white emulsion into the eyes, as well as onto the most sensitive areas of the body, and store turpentine emulsions out of the reach of children. Reusing water with white emulsion to treat another person is strictly prohibited. The amount of white emulsion per bath is gradually increased from 10-15 ml to 35-60 ml according to the doctor’s recommendation for a particular person. The bath temperature is 36-37 °C. The duration of the bath is 10-15 minutes, starting from 5 minutes, with a gradual increase in time by 1-2 minutes, depending on the tolerance of the bath. People with very sensitive skin are allowed to apply a small amount of medical Vaseline to some areas of the body (genitals and anus, popliteal fossae, inner surfaces of the elbows, axillary and groin areas). If you experience discomfort when taking a bath, then you should “soften” the characteristics - reduce the time, temperature or amount of turpentine solution. The maximum amount of white emulsion is also individual. If you have diseases that are not contraindicated, you should take turpentine baths at home under supervision and only as prescribed by a doctor. After leaving the bath, on a damp body (do not rinse or dry yourself), put on a robe or wrap yourself in a sheet, go to bed, cover yourself warmly. The duration of rest after a bath is at least 45 minutes. Nutrition when taking a course of baths should be rational and healthy. It is necessary to avoid overeating, limit the use of animal foods, and give up alcohol.

Turpentine baths at home

Turpentine is obtained from oleoresin, a thick resinous mass, which is found in abundance in juniper, spruce and pine trees. Anyone who has been to a pine forest has seen this frozen resin on the bark of trees. The pleasant smell of pine trees is precisely due to the essential oils of resin. Resin is a medicine for the tree itself. It protects the wood from all kinds of bugs, fungi, and heals wounds on the plant. It is important for you and me that gum turpentine is essentially essential oils that are obtained from coniferous plants. Everyone is well aware that any aromatic oils have excellent antiseptic, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Fill the bathtub halfway with water at 36 degrees. Prepare the turpentine emulsion in advance as indicated in the instructions. Mix it with a little hot water and pour it into the bath. Stir well. Lie on your back in the bath, do not put your head in the water. Baths are usually very well tolerated. Turn on the hot water and lower the thermometer into the water, bring the water temperature to 40 degrees. If someone gets too hot, set the temperature to a level that makes you feel comfortable. Carry out the first baths with a minimum amount of emulsion - 20 ml, which is diluted in 500 ml of hot water and distributed evenly along the entire length of the bath. For the first time, bring the initial bath temperature of 36 degrees to 38 and no more. Next, be guided by your own feelings, but remember - when conducting a bath course, you should always have a comfortable feeling. Slowly increase the amount of emulsion, which can be increased to 120 ml, and increase the temperature to 40 degrees. If you are young and in good health, take baths every day for a week. Then another one - two weeks every other day. Then stop at baths 2 times a week. Next, make turpentine baths as needed. Take a bath for about 15 minutes. Then, without rinsing, get out, dry your body with a towel and lie down in bed under the blanket for 40 minutes.

Treatment with turpentine baths

Now let's talk in more detail about the treatment of certain diseases with turpentine baths.

Treatment of chronic myelopathy with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov treated many diseases. Among them were the so-called chronic myelopathy - very complex and intractable neurological diseases associated with the loss of the nerve processes of their myelin sheaths, through which nerve impulses pass through them. This group includes such standards of incurability as multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, neural and spinal amyotrophy, encephalomyelitis, leukoencephalitis and other diseases. For chronic myelopathy, accompanied by increased blood pressure, Dr. Zalmanov began treatment with a series of yellow turpentine baths with a diet poor in salt and proteins. When the systolic (upper) pressure has decreased to 160 mm Hg. Art., he began to add white turpentine emulsion to the yellow solution in quantities of 5, 20, 25 and 30 ml, up to 60 ml of white emulsion added to 60 ml of yellow solution, that is, he switched to mixed turpentine baths and did them even at systolic pressure 180 mm Hg. Art., alternating with yellow ones: two mixed baths, one yellow, according to the formula used for hypertension.

Treatment of multiple sclerosis with turpentine baths

The practice of treating several patients with multiple sclerosis with Zalman baths. The treatment was comprehensive, aimed at the entire body, and not just the nervous system. In addition to yellow and mixed turpentine baths, hot chest wraps, hyperthermic baths, therapeutically dosed fasting, diets, K. Niche health systems, herbs, psychotherapy methods, massages, physical therapy, cleansing the intestines, liver, kidneys and other methods were used. The results were good, especially in those patients who were able to complete a long course of treatment. This disease, which is the epitome of incurability in orthodox medicine, is treatable and curable through naturopathic means.

Treatment of hypertension with turpentine baths. Arterial hypertension

For hypertension and arterial hypertension of renal etiology, which are accompanied by the release of urine with a lack of urea (less than 10-12 g/l), uric acid (less than 0.40 g/l), sodium chloride (below 7 g/l) A. C Zalmanov used a salt-free, protein-poor diet and took 39-40 degree yellow turpentine baths with 60 liters of solution every 3 days, lasting 15-20 minutes. And he achieved very good results. He had to treat hypertension and other arterial hypertension many times. Zalmanov used yellow turpentine baths every other day, starting with 20 ml of yellow solution at the final bath temperature of 41 -42 ° C, the Bircherenner diet and other diets, and psychotherapy. The results were very good. In almost all cases, it was possible to normalize blood pressure. The treatment results were very reliable and durable, as was established during long-term observation of patients after completion of the course of treatment. For a course of treatment to obtain a lasting result, require an average of 15-25 turpentine baths. In no case were there any negative side effects. A positive side effect was observed - physical rejuvenation of the body, especially in those patients who took more than average baths.

Treatment of polyneuritis with turpentine baths

With polyneuritis, patients complain of pain, numbness, paresthesia (impaired sensitivity of the SKIN, various unpleasant sensations in the form of tingling, goosebumps, etc.), cramps in the arms and legs, especially at night. In addition, polyneuritis can cause dizziness, headaches, increased irritability, sweating, pain in the heart, and hearing loss. Most researchers indicate that the existing orthodox methods of treating vegetative forms of polyneuritis do not provide a stable therapeutic effect. D.I. Chopchik experimentally proved that a course of turpentine baths activates the inclusion of phosphorus in muscle tissue and improves trophic processes in muscle and nervous tissues. At the Central Institute of Balneology and Physiotherapy (Moscow), white turpentine baths were used to treat the vegetative form of polyneuritis. It was found that these baths reduce trophic, vasomotor, and sensory disorders; improve peripheral blood circulation, including in the upper and lower extremities; increases the mobility of skin receptors; restore the activity of heat regulatory systems; improve the function of the neuromuscular system. According to clinical symptoms, 92.5% of patients treated with these baths had a positive therapeutic effect. Of these, a significant improvement in health status was noted in 30% of patients, improvement in 62.5%. In 5% of patients there was a slight improvement in condition, in 2.5% the condition did not change.

Treatment of spondylosis with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov calls this disease terrible and wrote that the only method of curing it is the use of hyperthermic baths every 2 days at an initial water temperature of 37 ° C, gradually reaching 41-43 ° C. After such a bath, the sick person is wrapped in several blankets and given a hot drink. He sweats profusely for 45 minutes, then, well covered, rests in bed for about 2 hours. During a hyperthermic bath, the temperature inside the patient’s body increases by 0.8-3 °C compared to the original one. Zalmanov wrote that the results of such treatment were often amazing. He considered this disease incurable by any other means. In addition to hyperthermic baths, spondylosis, like other diseases of the spine, can be very successfully treated with courses of turpentine baths. At the same time, the results of treatment appear earlier and are even more pronounced, especially if some good plant-based diet was additionally used.

Treatment of obliterating endarteritis with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov argued that it is useless for patients with obliterating endarteritis to count on improvement with the use of various medications and injections, since this serious disease still continues to progress and spread further through the arteries of the whole body. He said that there is no isolated arteritis of the lower extremities only. If you very patiently measure the temperature of the skin not only on your feet and legs, but also on your hands and forearms, you will always find that it is very low there too. For obliterating endarteritis without high blood pressure, he prescribed white turpentine baths. If this disease was accompanied by an upper blood pressure above 180 mm, he prescribed yellow baths, and with a systolic pressure of 170-190 mm, mixed turpentine baths. We can only add that its healing is much more successful and faster if hot chest wraps, fruit and vegetable diets with fasting days, herbs, and cool leg wraps throughout the night are additionally used. In this case, it is necessary to give up smoking and alcohol.

Treatment of cerebral palsy with turpentine baths

Cerebral palsy is almost always accompanied by low blood pressure and tachycardia. A. S. Zalmanov, with this disease, regulated the pulse with an infusion of Adonis, and to improve the activity of the kidneys and liver, he used turpentine baths with 20-40 ml, up to 90-100 ml of white emulsion. He took the first bath at a water temperature of 38 °C, the second bath at a temperature of 38.5 °C, the third and all subsequent ones at an aqueous solution temperature of 39 °C. The duration of each bath was 15 minutes. Over several months of such treatment, A. S. Zalmanov managed to achieve muscle restoration and almost normal blood circulation in atrophied areas of the body in patients with cerebral palsy, both in childhood and in older age.

Treatment of joint diseases with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov expressed very interesting thoughts about the treatment of rheumatism and other joint diseases. When people have joint pain, it is customary in orthodox medicine to x-ray them in order to sum up the overall damage caused by the disease. The X-ray film shows a typical picture of bone changes, which doctors can clearly see. But at the same time, they forget that in any joint there is not only bone tissue, but also cartilage, as well as ligaments, tendons, muscles, fascia, synovial fluid (lubricant), nerves, lymphatic and blood vessels, and skin around the joint. There are 11 components in total. In addition, it must be taken into account that the intraarticular fluid is in constant communication with the intercellular fluid. If, through rational hydrotherapy, it is possible to improve the condition of eight of these 11 components of the joint, then significant improvements are achieved in the entire joint as a whole. By creating natural musculocutaneous and nervous protection for a diseased joint with turpentine baths, it is possible to achieve a much more real and much longer-lasting improvement in its functioning than with the help of surgical methods - arthrodesis and arthroplasty. Zalman turpentine baths in combination with a healthy lifestyle and natural treatment of the whole body - normalization of pulmonary respiration, blood circulation and all secretions - in the vast majority of cases help restore the calcium content in the bones in case of osteoporosis (loss of bone tissue), and in case of exostoses (growths on the bones) ) – normalize calcium metabolism and resolve growths. Turpentine baths in the case of hypocalcification (low calcium levels) and osteomalacia (softening of bones) help bring the amount of calcium to normal. But with hypercalcification (increased calcium content), which is accompanied by the deposition of salts in different parts of the bone frame and the formation of various growths, they dissolve excess calcium, since only by increasing the blood supply to the diseased joint can its normal mobility and flexibility be restored. There are more than a hundred medications for the treatment of rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, deforming osteoarthritis and other arthrosis and arthritis. But their number only shows how ineffective they are in treating these diseases. Nevertheless, pharmacists continue to look for more and more new drugs that have only a local effect on the joint. They do not think that the body needs to be treated as a whole and that joint disease is always a whole complex of disorders of the fluid media of the entire body: blood, lymph, tissue fluids.

Orthodox doctors forget how bones grow in infants, how they receive the material necessary for the formation of bone tissue. Infants receive their “building material” from mother’s milk. This is why sick people with osteomalacia need to be given milk. A. S. Zalmanov prescribed white turpentine baths to patients with deforming arthritis, which is almost never accompanied by an increase in blood pressure.

Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis with turpentine baths

Among joint diseases, rheumatoid arthritis is distinguished by its difficulty in curing and the anxiety it causes. For orthodox medicine, this is one of the most difficult diseases of the joints to treat, which progresses from year to year, disfigures, bends the hands and feet, torments with pain and leaves the patient no hope of recovery. Zalmanov's turpentine baths solve this most difficult problem. In combination with proper nutrition, hot chest wraps, herbs, body cleansing, heating on the liver area and psychotherapy, turpentine baths can step by step restore good blood supply to the affected joints and internal organs that are involved in this disease. The number of Zalman baths in one course of treatment depends on the degree of neglect of the disease. If the disease has just begun its path and has not yet had time to distort the joints with deformation, it can be completely cured with 20-30 baths. If it has time to develop, the number of baths increases and in severe cases reaches 50-70. But even advanced rheumatoid arthritis remains potentially treatable. He cannot resist the healing warmth of turpentine baths. It is necessary to use mixed turpentine baths with a predominant proportion of white emulsion if blood pressure is within normal limits.

Treatment of angina pectoris with turpentine baths

Dr. Zalmanov advised using white turpentine baths for angina without high blood pressure, using yellow baths for angina with high blood pressure, and if blood pressure returns to normal, then doing mixed baths. This modest therapy produced very satisfactory results. The attacks of angina in his patients stopped for a very long period of time.

Treatment of myocardial infarction with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov began using his hydrotherapy 6 weeks after the heart attack. First, he prescribed patients 10 mixed turpentine baths, then white ones, and if the systolic blood pressure was above 170-180 mm Hg. Art., then every two white or two mixed baths one yellow one was prescribed.

Let us add that with sufficiently long-term use of turpentine hydrotherapy in patients with coronary heart disease, blood circulation in the heart muscle improves so much that not only angina pectoris disappears, but also various heart rhythm disturbances. Persistent use of turpentine baths gradually restores normal heart rhythm and strengthens the heart muscle so much that sometimes even signs of heart failure disappear.

Treatment of gynecological diseases with turpentine baths

Using his method, A.S. Zalmanov successfully treated women’s diseases. In particular, for adnexitis (inflammation of the ovaries), he first prescribed 6-8 mixed turpentine baths with a temperature of 39 ° C, then switched to yellow baths with a temperature of up to 42 ° C, for 15 minutes each.

You can also successfully use Zalmanov’s turpentine baths for salpingitis (inflammation of the fallopian tubes) and endometritis (inflammation of the uterus).

Treatment of eye diseases with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov’s turpentine baths turned out to be a successful way to treat some eye diseases. For glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure) and retinitis (inflammation of the retina), yellow baths were very effective, gradually lowering intraocular pressure to normal and restoring blood circulation in diseased eye tissues. Zalmanov’s baths also helped well with iridocyclitis. For thrombosis of the central artery of the retina and thrombosis of the temporal artery, Dr. Zalmanov used a course of yellow turpentine baths with 60 ml of solution, water temperature from 37 °C to 42 °C and a duration of 16-17 minutes. The reliability of the disappearance of thrombosis and restoration of vision was confirmed by ophthalmologists.

Treatment of radiculitis with turpentine baths. Osteochondrosis of the spine

For sciatica and cervicobrachial neuritis, Zalmanov first prescribed daily baths, alternating white with yellow: after every two white baths, one yellow (60 ml, 39-40 ° C, 16 min). If blood pressure was not higher than 150 mm Hg. Art., persistent pain relief was achieved for sciatica after 14-18 turpentine baths, and for cervicobrachial neuritis - after 24-30 baths.

The same treatment can be used with great success for all types of radiculitis, lumbodynia, and various symptoms of spinal osteochondrosis. For a permanent cessation of pain, an average of 15-20 turpentine baths were required, but often the pain in the spine and back disappeared within the first ten baths.

Treatment with turpentine baths of the consequences of injuries and wounds of bones and joints

A. S. Zalmanov treated the consequences of injuries to bones and joints, as well as post-traumatic ankylosis of the joints with mixed turpentine baths, if the upper blood pressure was in the range of 150-180 mm Hg. Art. If it was below 150 mm, then he began treatment with white baths. He managed to achieve mobilization of joints, that is, restoration of their motor functions, even when the duration of ankylosis reached 30 years! He cured post-traumatic ankylosis in an average of 3-4 months.

Treatment of polio with turpentine baths

A. S. Zalmanov treated people who had polio. The use of turpentine baths gradually strengthened their muscles, and the ability to walk without orthopedic devices was restored after 15-18 months of persistent treatment.

Treatment of scars and adhesions with turpentine baths

Clinical observations of a team of doctors, presented by Z. A. Vasilyeva, proved that Zalmanov’s turpentine baths promote the resorption of internal and external scars and adhesions that form from connective tissue after various injuries, wounds, burns and as a result of diseases.

Treatment with turpentine baths for AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)

At the time of A.S. Zalmanov, AIDS did not exist. But it’s worth sharing your optimistic assumptions with readers. Official science considers AIDS an infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). As is known from the practice of A. S. Zalmanov and other hydropaths, all infectious diseases are treatable and curable with turpentine baths and other methods of capillary therapy. In this case, the use of antibiotics is absolutely not required. What if we use capillary therapy and, in particular, turpentine baths to treat AIDS patients? Experts predict that such treatment will be successful. Step by step, turpentine baths and other naturopathic methods will cleanse the body suffering from AIDS, restore the functions of all organs, metabolism, and raise its protective and healing mechanisms. When the body is cleared of everything with which HIV and other microorganisms involved in the formation of the clinical picture of AIDS can biologically interact, then there will be no need to neutralize, break down, destroy anything, and all the symptoms of AIDS will disappear. A person with AIDS will be cured because he will cleanse his internal environment.

Treatment of acute forms of diseases with turpentine baths

In addition to chronic diseases, turpentine baths are very effective in treating acute forms of diseases, and for acute diseases they are even more effective than for chronic ones. This is due to the fact that acute diseases are generally easier to treat than chronic ones. But it is necessary to clarify that we are talking about proper treatment. If treated incorrectly, no diseases can be cured, and all acute ones inevitably become chronic and drag on for years, and sometimes throughout life, sometimes becoming the cause of disability or death.

Acute illnesses occur with greater force and greater stress on the body. Their symptoms are more pronounced and more acute. That’s why they are called acute, in contrast to non-acute, chronic ones, in which the symptoms appear faintly. Sometimes they are barely noticeable even for experienced doctors or are not noticeable at all. Acute illnesses occur within a matter of days (1-10 days) or a matter of weeks (1-4 weeks). With chronic ones, the count lasts for months and very often for many years.

Turpentine baths indications

First of all, baths are indicated for cardiovascular diseases, including the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, varicose veins, thrombophlebitis, atherosclerosis, and Raynaud's disease. A course of procedures is prescribed for the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, large and small joints, including arthritis, polyarthritis, arthrosis, osteochondrosis, spinal diseases, and rheumatism. Baths are effective in the treatment of the genitourinary system: glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis. In addition, indications for turpentine baths are: Diseases of the liver, gall bladder - hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, cholecystitis. Diseases of the bronchopulmonary system: bronchitis (acute, chronic), bronchial asthma, pharyngitis, sinusitis. Diseases of the reproductive system, including adnexitis, prostatitis. Diseases of the nervous system: polyneuropathy, neuritis, and sciatica. Baths are also effective for diabetes, obesity (promote weight loss), and they are also used as a prevention of colds and flu.

Text of the book “Therapeutic baths for all diseases: turpentine, herbal, salt”

Zalmanov Baths

A. S. Zalmanov created turpentine mixtures and proposed his famous turpentine baths for the treatment of many diseases.

The advantage of turpentine baths is that they have a very wide spectrum of action and affect the entire capillary system

person. By enhancing the activity of capillaries, turpentine baths increase the vital potential of each cell.

Turpentine baths open closed capillary vessels, restore nutrition to organs, improve the supply of oxygen, that is, they restore normal, healthy life of cells, tissues, organs and the entire human body as a whole.

Here is a far from complete list of diseases that Zalmanov’s turpentine baths will help you cope with: arthritis, polyarthritis, arthrosis, rheumatism; Bekhterev's disease; high blood pressure of any etiology, consequences of stroke; consequences of myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, atherosclerosis of the vessels of the extremities, neuritis, polyneuritis; sciatica, lumbodynia; consequences of various injuries, postoperative adhesions.

Mechanism of action of turpentine mixtures

In order to understand the mechanism of action of turpentine mixtures, it is necessary to have a good understanding of the structure of human skin. Our skin has a multi-layered structure. It is rich in blood and lymphatic vessels, nerve endings, sweat and sebaceous glands. The surface area of blood and lymphatic capillaries, through which the skin exchanges substances with the environment, is enormous. Through various effects on the skin, it is possible to cause major changes in vital activity and in the functions of the entire organism.

Zalmanov baths have a multifaceted effect on human skin. They change the lumen of capillary vessels, improve the permeability of their endothelial cells for metabolites and waste, and increase the number of open functioning capillaries.

General effect on the body

Zalmanov baths are complex and varied. They change the physical and chemical thermoregulation of the human body, enhance metabolism, increase the physiological activity of cells, thereby accelerating the course of physical and chemical reactions that underlie immunity. That is, Zalmanov’s turpentine baths significantly increase human immunity and activate the functions of the central and autonomic nervous system.

Research has established that with an increase in internal body temperature (and this is precisely what is observed while taking turpentine baths), the mobility and functional activity of leukocytes in the human body increases, the activity of nurse cells in the capillaries increases, the number of antibodies increases, liver functions are activated, and the activity of enzymes.

Under the influence of turpentine, various biologically active substances are released in the skin - in particular, the formation of histamine and carbon dioxide. As is known, carbon dioxide is a stimulant of the respiratory center, and histamine causes the opening of closed capillaries and the expansion of their lumen.

Zalmanov's turpentine baths are divided into three types: white, yellow

and
mixed.
This division is associated with the type of turpentine mixture that is used for the bath. To prepare a white bath, a white turpentine emulsion is used, for a yellow bath, a yellow turpentine solution is used, and for a mixed bath, both mixtures are taken in certain proportions.

White emulsion and yellow solution have different effects on the body.

White emulsion

causes rhythmic contractions and expansion of capillaries, stimulates skin capillaries and all organs, increases blood pressure.

This emulsion contains gum turpentine, salicylic acid, baby soap and distilled water.

The different effects of white and yellow baths are manifested primarily in the different effects of the temperature stimulus. White turpentine baths are not hyperthermic. They do not cause as much sweating as yellow baths. The irritating effect of white baths is more pronounced. It is due to the absence of oily substances (oleic acid and castor oil) in the white emulsion. Salicylic acid, which is part of the white turpentine emulsion, also enhances the irritating effect of gum turpentine, and in addition, it accelerates the restoration of the skin epidermis, has an antibacterial effect and suppresses the secretion of sweat glands. Baby soap contained in a white emulsion helps loosen the epidermis and thereby further enhances the effect of pinene and salicylic acid on intradermal structures.

Yellow solution

promotes the dissolution of pathological deposits in joint cavities, in periarticular tissues, in tendons and ligaments, in the lenses of the eyes, in the walls of blood vessels and in the capillaries themselves. In addition, the yellow solution lowers blood pressure.

While taking a white bath, the patient feels a tingling or burning sensation on the skin. Baths with yellow turpentine solution are usually accompanied by less burning or tingling sensation of the skin. After them, tachycardia (increased heart rate) and increased breathing are not observed.

The yellow turpentine solution, in addition to gum turpentine, contains oleic acid, castor oil, caustic soda and distilled water. Oleic acid is an unsaturated fatty acid and is found in many vegetable edible oils. It, together with castor oil, softens the irritating effect of turpentine. Caustic soda chemically interacts with various protein substances found in the skin and promotes deeper and faster penetration into the skin.

Both types: white turpentine baths and yellow ones have an analgesic effect.

Mixed turpentine baths are obtained by mixing a yellow solution and a white emulsion. Mixed ones have the advantages of both yellow and white baths, but, in addition, they cause the release of various amino acids, including histamine, into the blood through opening capillaries. Histamine has an analgesic effect. In addition, it penetrates into the arteries of various organs of the abdominal and thoracic cavities, into the brain and spinal cord, into the cerebrospinal fluid, which leads to the restoration of normal blood flow in the vessels, normal nutrition, oxidation and removal of toxins. Normal physiological and mental state is restored. The whole body is healed as a whole.

A very important property of yellow baths is the profuse sweating that they cause in patients - after all, various toxins and wastes are removed from the body with sweat.

Attention!

To prepare both turpentine mixtures, gum turpentine is used. Other types of turpentine are not used for this purpose, in particular sulfate, which is most often found on the shelves of hardware stores.

Indications for the use of turpentine baths

Cardiovascular diseases (cardiac arrhythmias of various types require caution in the use of baths), chronic gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, biliary dyskinesia, chronic cholecystitis, chronic hepatitis, chronic pancreatitis, chronic colitis, acute and chronic bronchitis, pleurisy exudative, pneumonia, bronchial asthma, tracheitis, anemia, obesity, menopause, headache, sciatica, migraine, neuralgia and trigeminal neuritis, neurasthenia, insomnia, lumbosacral radiculitis, chronic thrombophlebitis, varicose veins, postoperative and post-burn scars and adhesions , consequences of various injuries, kidney and urinary tract diseases, acute and chronic laryngitis, otitis externa, acute and chronic otitis media, acute and chronic rhinitis, acute and chronic sinusitis, acute tonsillitis (tonsillitis) and chronic, acute and chronic pharyngitis, sinusitis, psoriasis, neurodermatitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism, spinal osteochondrosis and other diseases.

Special indications: body rejuvenation; general health maintenance, prevention of all diseases; improvement of appearance; life extension.

Techniques for using turpentine baths

To treat with turpentine baths you will need turpentine mixtures. It is better to purchase these mixtures in pharmacies and specialty stores (now they are sold, although not everywhere). For those who, for various reasons, do not have the opportunity to buy turpentine mixtures, the following recipe for preparing them at home will be useful.

White turpentine emulsion

. To prepare 1 liter of white emulsion, prepare 550 ml of distilled water, 30 g of finely shaved baby soap, 3 g of salicylic acid, 20 ml of camphor alcohol, 500 ml of gum turpentine, made according to GOST 1571-82. Pour distilled water into an enamel pan and place on fire. When the water boils, add baby soap and salicylic acid. Boil for approximately 15 minutes over low heat until the soap is completely dissolved, stirring with a glass rod. Then remove the pan from the heat, pour 500 ml of gum turpentine into it, stir everything well and add camphor alcohol. The prepared emulsion should be stored in a dark glass container in a dark place at room temperature. The emulsion must be shaken well before use.

Yellow turpentine solution

. To prepare 1 liter of yellow solution you will need 200 ml of castor oil, 150 ml of oleic acid, 13.3 g of caustic soda granules, 133 ml of distilled water and 500 ml of gum turpentine (GOST 1571-82). Pour castor oil into an enamel pan and place in a water bath. Prepare a solution of sodium hydroxide. Remember that the solution must be prepared with rubber gloves, since caustic soda is an alkali and you can burn your hands with it. The solution is prepared as follows: pour distilled water into a thin glass flask and carefully add caustic soda in small portions, being sure to rotate the flask under running cold water until the caustic soda is completely dissolved. Then place the flask and cool. When the water in the water bath boils, reduce the heat and after 5-8 minutes from the start of boiling, pour the caustic soda solution into the castor oil, stir thoroughly with a glass rod. As soon as the oil and alkali thicken, mix everything well again and pour in the oleic acid, thoroughly kneading the resulting mass with a glass rod. When the mixture becomes liquid, stop heating, remove the pan from the water bath, pour in the turpentine and stir well. The prepared yellow solution should be stored in a well-sealed dark glass container at room temperature, in a dark place.

Results of treatment with turpentine baths

directly depend on how accurately the technique of their application is followed. The safest and most correct decision is to seek the help of a competent doctor or nurse. If it is not possible to invite a competent medical professional, but you have a burning desire to take these baths, then you first need to carefully study the technique of their use, indications and contraindications for them.

To treat with Zalmanov baths at home, you must have a bath, hot and cold water, a water thermometer with a 50-degree scale, a beaker with divisions, a tonometer and a stethoscope to monitor blood pressure, a watch, a mirror to monitor perspiration on the face if you take baths without an assistant, as well as medicinal mixtures.

Type of turpentine mixture

is selected based on the diagnosis, blood pressure and the general reaction of the sick person’s body.

Frequency of bath use

depends on the diagnosis, the general condition of the patient, his age and reaction to this procedure.

Dose of any mixture

begins with a minimum (20 ml for an adult) and gradually, individually, increases to a certain maximum level, depending on the tolerability of turpentine baths and their effectiveness.

The entire treatment session can be divided into three stages.

The first stage is preparing the bath

. The surface of the bath must be absolutely clean. Fill the bathtub with warm water at 35–37 °C to the initial level - so that after your complete immersion, the water does not reach the safety drain hole by about 7-10 cm. Take a glass or plastic container to dilute the turpentine mixture in it. Measure out the required amount of mixture, pour it into a container, then pour hot tap water into it to dilute the mixture, and stir well with a tablespoon. Pour the diluted mixture from the container into the bath and stir well so that the mixture is evenly dissolved in the water.

The second stage - taking a turpentine bath

. Lie down in the bath and immerse yourself in a water solution with a turpentine mixture. Open the tap and start adding hot water little by little. The stream of hot water should be such that the temperature of the turpentine solution increases gradually - by about 1 C in 2 minutes. Relax and lie quietly in the solution.

When taking a white turpentine bath

the solution temperature must be brought to 39–40 °C.

When taking a yellow turpentine bath

Raise the solution temperature to 40.5-42 °C. The duration of Zalmanov’s baths is from 10 to 20 minutes. You should stop taking a bath when your face starts to sweat and you start to sweat a little. If perspiration or sweat appears on the face before the end of the time indicated in the diagram below, the bath can be finished earlier. If sweat or perspiration lingers, you can increase the duration of the bath by 1–3 minutes.

Attention!

In no case should you increase the time of taking turpentine baths on your own! Such “zeal” leads to serious consequences: tachycardia may occur and blood pressure may change significantly. The appearance of perspiration on the face is a sure sign that it is time to end the bath.

After completing the procedure

you need to throw on something warm - a robe or bath towel, but do not wipe your skin dry. Lie down in bed and proceed to the next stage of the treatment session.

The third stage - rest

. This stage is also important for getting the best effect from turpentine baths. You need to lie in bed for a long time (1-2 hours) and sweat thoroughly. To do this, you need to cover yourself with a warm blanket and drink a glass of hot tea, preferably herbal (for example, from raspberry leaves, linden flowers, oregano, taken in equal proportions). Tea with honey or raspberry jam is also useful - such drinks will increase sweating and help remove maximum toxins from the body.

Attention!
While taking white baths, the skin feels tingling or burning. These sensations can be expressed to varying degrees, the reaction depends on the dose of the turpentine mixture and on the individual skin sensitivity of the patient. Excessive burning means an overdose of turpentine mixture or indicates that you have exceeded the bath time. When treated with yellow and mixed baths, tingling and burning of the skin can also be observed, but to a lesser extent than when treated with white baths. Schemes for taking turpentine baths
There are several different schemes; below are those that are closest to the treatment regimens of Dr. Zalmanov.

White turpentine baths

Note.

Starting from the 22nd bath and further carry out procedures according to bath regimen No.
21.
Yellow turpentine baths

Note

.
Starting from the 12th bath and further carry out procedures according to bath regimen No. 11.
Mixed turpentine baths

Note

.
Starting from the 10th bath and further, carry out procedures according to bath regimen No. 9.

Contraindications

Correct use of Zalmanov's turpentine baths usually does not cause any harmful side effects.

Those who suffer from open pulmonary tuberculosis, patients with acute psychosis, and people with severe heart failure should not take turpentine baths.

Simple and aromatic salt (sodium chloride) baths

Healing letters

I used to often take simple salt baths and was very pleased with the results. A course of salt baths helped me practically get rid of arthrosis, which I had suffered from for almost 5 years. In addition, I noticed that salt baths helped me strengthen my nervous system. Previously, I slept poorly, woke up several times a night, was irritable and nervous. A month after I started taking salt baths, I forgot about insomnia and became calm and self-confident. And not so long ago I learned that you can buy healing aromatic bath salts in pharmacies. Now I actively use such salts, it’s even better than just salt baths! The treatment method is simple, accessible, and anyone can use it.

Grigory Merentsev, Syktyvkar

Simple salt baths
Warm therapeutic baths with table salt dissolved in them are good to use to calm the nerves, improve skin turgor, narrow enlarged pores, stimulate blood circulation, relieve rheumatic conditions and treat scrofula, osteochondrosis, arthrosis, the initial stage of hypertension, stomach ulcers , diseases of the intestines, genitourinary system and many other diseases, as well as to obtain a mild analgesic effect.

Salt baths help in the fight against excess weight, and can also be used to enhance metabolism (as they provoke increased blood supply to the skin, and this is reflected in the deep processes inside the body).

To prepare such a salt bath, pour 250–300 g of table salt, preferably iodized, into warm water. Over time, you can increase the amount of salt to 1.5–2 kg.

The recommended salt bath water temperature is 37–39 °C.
It is known that sea salt perfectly cleanses the skin, especially oily skin. Salt baths are very good in winter, when swimming in the sea or open water is impossible. After your bath, don't forget to rinse off in the shower. Aromatic salt baths
Now let's talk a little about the aromatic healing salts that we add to the water. The main composition of bath salts can be:

• natural sea or ocean salt;

• salt from natural salt deposits (Lake Baskunchak, ancient Perm Sea);

• salt from mineral springs, for example Karlovy Vary springs.

All these salts are rich in mineral elements necessary to preserve youth and human health, such as potassium, calcium, manganese, iodine, bromine, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium. In salts they are often present in the form of ions.

• Magnesium has an anti-allergenic effect on skin cells and the respiratory tract, activates metabolism and soothes pain.

• Bromine is one of the minerals responsible for the restoration of cells and the removal of harmful substances from them. In addition, it has a calming effect on the nervous system and has antiseptic properties.

• Iodine actively affects metabolism and is responsible for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland.

• Potassium regulates the water balance of cells and is necessary for normal muscle functioning.

• Sodium protects cells from moisture loss and maintains normal acid balance.

• Calcium affects life expectancy and has a pain suppressing effect.

In addition to microelements, bath salts contain extracts of medicinal herbs, which greatly enhance the healing properties of minerals.

To add more sophistication, aroma and to enhance the cosmetic effect, various vegetable essential oils are added to the salt. Therefore, when choosing salt, do not forget about its aroma.

The most common powdered form of salts. Sometimes the powder is granulated into larger particles or pressed into balls.

The tablet form is especially convenient for use in a small volume of water - when preparing hand or foot baths.

Salt is often packaged in special filter bags. The fact is that each salt contains insoluble or poorly soluble substances in water, which settle at the bottom of the bath after the bulk has dissolved. To prevent this from happening, the salt is packaged in disposable filters, in portions sufficient to prepare one bath, which are immersed in water and, after use, thrown away along with the remains.

Types of bath salts

When choosing bath salts, you should clearly understand what exactly you need it for.

Today, many types of salts have appeared on the market, varying in composition, color, aroma, and effects on the body.

We remember that baths can be both general - for the whole body, and local - for example, for hands or feet.

In addition to the main components, hand bath salt contains a number of additional ingredients that make skin care easier. These include glycerin, lactose, which soften and moisturize the skin; calendula extract, healing small wounds and abrasions; dandelion and cucumber extracts, whitening the skin, making it soft and smooth. A special salt for nails with extracts of horsetail, calendula and propolis is also produced. The calcium ions contained in this salt strengthen the nails. Its regular use compensates for mineral and vitamin deficiency in the tissues of the nail plate, nail bed, and cuticle. Baths with special salt help strengthen nails, improve their structure and appearance.

The salts added to the foot bath usually include chestnut extract, which improves blood circulation, relieves swelling, and has a venotonic effect. Puffiness is well relieved by sodium and potassium ions, which regulate the water balance of skin cells. In addition, salts soften the skin and improve blood microcirculation. Palm oil and eucalyptus oil will keep your feet soft. Oak bark extract will help get rid of sweaty feet. After the bath, be sure to lubricate your feet with cream. Regular foot baths plus cream are a good way to prevent cracked heels.

Salts for general baths can be divided into soothing salts (with the addition of valerian and oat extracts) and tonic salts (with eleutherococcus and wormwood extracts).

There are also many specialized bath salts available. For example, anti-cellulite salts with seaweed extract (kelp, fucus) allow you to normalize the metabolic process directly in the skin and subcutaneous fat, have a venotonic effect, and promote the removal of toxins and excess moisture.

It is known that bath salts are more popular among women. But there are also special salts for men. They have added patchouli extract to enhance the antidepressant effect. This bath literally “washes away” negative emotions, calms the nerves, relaxes muscles, and improves blood circulation.

There are also special salts for bathing children on sale. They generally do not contain artificial colors or flavors. The composition includes chamomile and string extracts, which help relieve skin problems and alleviate the manifestations of diathesis in babies.

The composition of salt for teenagers and for the care of problem skin includes liposomes, known for their ability to deliver beneficial substances into the deep layers of the skin, providing the most effective care. Chamomile and string extracts will have an anti-inflammatory effect on the skin, an antibacterial emulsion will stop the development of bacteria that cause acne, white clay will dry problem areas, cleanse the ducts of the sebaceous glands, and lemon oil will tighten pores.

It is very pleasant to take a bath in which salt and foam have been added. The effect of foam bubbles on skin receptors will calm the nervous system and enhance metabolic processes in the body. To make the foam more fluffy, the product should be poured into the bathtub when it is filled with water.

Turpentine baths for weight loss

Today, turpentine baths have gained popularity in medicine, perfumery, cosmetology, as well as in “bathing treatment” - balneotherapy. For most visitors to beauty salons, the SPA service has long been known - a turpentine bath for weight loss. Turpentine baths by themselves cannot reduce weight - the body does this when metabolic processes return to normal. Therefore, it is unlikely that you will be able to lose weight as quickly as many sources promise, but the weight loss will be gradual, and the excess weight will not return - of course, unless you again disrupt your metabolism with an unhealthy lifestyle. At its core, a turpentine bath is a “cocktail” of essential oils that can give us youth and health, and most importantly, it can speed up the process of losing weight. Getting rid of extra pounds using turpentine baths is the result of a chain reaction in the human body. What happens in our body thanks to the use of turpentine baths. Capillaries open and blood microcirculation is restored, cholesterol levels decrease. Problem areas of the body receive additional blood supply, the appearance of cellulite is reduced and fat metabolism is restored. The effect of losing weight as a result of the use of turpentine baths occurs due to the activation of oxidation and combustion of metabolites and toxins, due to the removal of excess fluid from the body. You can prepare a white emulsion for turpentine baths yourself. However, this is a rather unsafe and complex process that requires knowledge, skills and experience. Therefore, for turpentine baths it is better to purchase a ready-made product in our Argo online store.
