Herbs for parasites in the human body

Wormwood tincture. Wormwood has long been known for its unique medicinal properties. The bactericidal property of wormwood is associated with the presence of saturated hydrocarbons in its composition. Unsaturated hydrocarbons, such as capillin, also destroy pathogenic fungal microflora, providing a fungicidal effect. Japanese pharmacologists even classify capillin as an antibiotic, because its antimicrobial activity is in no way inferior to them. This plant is widely used in folk medicine and is often used as an anthelmintic. Wormwood tincture against parasites must be used with caution, as there are a number of contraindications for its use. These include epilepsy, cholecystitis, gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers.

General information about wormwood

Wormwood, or silver, - Artemisia absinthium L. - is a perennial herbaceous plant from the family Asteraceae, or Compositae, with a strong, unique odor, 40 - 120 cm in height. The stems are erect, branching.

The leaves are alternate, triangular-rounded in general outline, twice pinnately dissected into linear-oblong lobes (the upper ones are almost entire), the lower ones have long petioles, the middle ones have shorter ones, and the upper ones are sessile. The stems, leaves, and involucres of the baskets are densely pubescent with short, appressed hairs, so the entire plant has a grayish-silver color.

The flowers are very small, tubular, with a yellow corolla, collected in inflorescence-baskets with a diameter of about 3 mm. The baskets are drooping and together form a common paniculate inflorescence at the tops of above-ground shoots. The marginal flowers in each basket are female, the middle ones are bisexual.

This is a typical ruderal plant that lives in wastelands, landfills, other garbage places, near roads, in ditches, in young fallow lands, in gardens, roadside plantings, disturbed forests, in clearings, fallow lands, and along the banks of reservoirs.

The fruits are brownish or gray oblong achenes up to 1 mm long with longitudinal wrinkles. It blooms in July - August, the fruits ripen in August - September. It has very high seed productivity - one plant can produce more than 100,000 seeds.

    Antihelminthic properties of wormwood

    It is important to take wormwood correctly against parasites in the human body, so as not to get severe intoxication, poisoning with waste products and decay of worms. Therefore, self-medication is not recommended. It is necessary to establish the type of parasitic infection, undergo the necessary tests, and only after that the doctor prescribes comprehensive treatment.

    What are the medicinal properties of wormwood against parasites:

    • anthelmintic: the high bitterness content in the grass gives it anthelmintic properties;
    • secretory: the same bitterness stimulates the secretion of the gallbladder, normalizes the intestinal flora and digestion, which is often disrupted by helminthic infestation;
    • blood purifying: the herb acts as a detoxifying agent, cleanses the body of toxins and waste products of parasites (antienzymes);
    • restorative: with helminthiasis, the immune system suffers greatly. Thanks to phytoncides and vitamins, wormwood strengthens the body's defenses.

    Basic principles of treatment of helminthic infestation with wormwood

    Wormwood tincture. How is the body cleansed of parasites? An integrated approach to treatment is required. It includes the following types of drugs: sorbents and probiotics; anthelmintics; choleretic; protective (regenerating liver cells); laxatives. A vegetarian diet and drinking plenty of fluids during treatment are also important.

    Therapy is carried out in 4 stages:

    • preparing the body: you can drink flaxseed or pumpkin oil, sorbents to remove toxic substances from the body;
    • anthelmintics and antihistamines: these can be strong synthetic drugs that often have side effects and suppress healthy microflora. Recently, they have resorted to broad-spectrum herbal anthelmintics, most often using wormwood, tansy and cloves. Antihistamines help relieve an allergic reaction to toxins released by parasites;
    • laxatives: to cleanse the intestines of toxins after the breakdown of parasites;
    • restoration of the functions of the digestive organs and immune system: choleretic, enzyme, protective, and immunostimulating agents are prescribed. Rehabilitation after helminthic infestation is extremely important. Monitoring treatment and, if necessary, repeating a course of therapy are no less important.

    Treatment of opisthorchiasis with wormwood

    Opisthorchiasis is a worm infection of the bile ducts and pancreas. The infection is dangerous because it can become chronic. This leads to the threat of acute inflammation of the liver, biliary tract, gallbladder, and there is a risk of rupture of the bile ducts and the development of cancer.

    In official medicine, wormwood against opisthorchiasis is not a first-choice herbal remedy. For this diagnosis, strong synthetic anthelmintics are prescribed.

    Bronchial asthma and pneumonia may also develop. Wormwood for opisthorchiasis is often included in herbal preparations; it is drunk with tansy, thyme, clover, St. John's wort, aspen bark, and green pumpkin seeds.

    Wormwood tincture. Parasites provoke inflammatory processes in these organs and clog the bile ducts. Despite such a frightening diagnosis - “parasites in the liver” - giardiasis is successfully treated, the liver is completely restored.

    However, it is sometimes difficult to identify it, since the symptoms of this disease are similar to the signs of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract; giardiasis often becomes chronic. Wormwood for Giardia will give a healing effect only with a strict diet, with the exception of sweets.

    Symptoms of parasites in the body

    A helminthic infestation or worms is a group of parasitic creatures that infect the human body and use it as a host for their life activities. They feed on beneficial substances from the body and release toxins that poison a person from the inside. There are a large number of classifications of parasites: according to habitat, type of infection and species characteristics, but no matter what type of worms a helminth belongs to, it is a parasite that negatively affects human health.

    Cleansing from parasites is necessary in any case. The specificity of infection with worms is manifested in such a way that during the initial infection the helminth may not take root and will leave the body naturally. But when worm eggs re-enter, they go through an incubation period of 3-4 weeks and settle in the intestines. In the future, the number of parasites will only increase. As the number of worms increases, symptoms of helminthiasis appear. At the initial stage, worms may not manifest themselves in any way, but when their numbers increase tenfold, then 6 unpleasant symptoms appear:

    • headache;
    • intestinal obstruction;
    • chronic constipation;
    • pain in the epigastric region;
    • fast fatiguability;
    • decreased performance;
    • insomnia;
    • itching in the anal area;
    • nausea and vomiting;
    • weight loss;
    • allergic manifestations on the skin;
    • increased appetite.

    Signs of parasite infestation

    Helminths can move from the intestines to tissues and internal organs, affecting them and releasing toxins. The waste products of parasites poison the body and disrupt the functioning of functional systems. Disruption of internal organs can be mistaken for developing diseases, so treatment of helminthiasis should be carried out after diagnosing the pathology. Parasites can cause the development of chronic diseases.
