What cocoa products help with cough?

Medicinal properties

Animal fat was used in the treatment of various respiratory diseases by our grandmothers.
In folk medicine, pig fat is most often used, but adherents of alternative methods of treatment also recommend bear, badger, goat, lamb and other fats. Natural lard can act as a base for medicines. It can be consumed both internally and used externally.

Gastrointestinal fat has beneficial properties:

  • contains useful microelements and vitamins, as well as arachidonic acid, which is involved in the biosynthesis of cholesterol;
  • has great biological activity;
  • does not lose its healing qualities when heated;
  • it can easily be mixed with other ingredients - glycerin, honey or alcohol.

The product should not be used for therapeutic purposes by persons with problems with the digestive tract, liver pathologies, thyroid diseases, metabolic disorders, or obesity.

Beneficial properties of pork fat

For many years we have been convinced that pork fat, and animal fat in general, is harmful to our body. But recently, attitudes towards this issue have changed dramatically, and now many nutritionists and doctors claim, and scientists confirm with research, that animal fat is not at all harmful. On the contrary, it is very useful.

In its composition, animal fat is very close to vegetable fats, i.e. vegetable oils, according to the content of essential fatty acids. They also contain oleic, linoleic, linolenic, palmitic acids, which are combined under one general concept - vitamin F.

In addition, pork fat contains a unique and very beneficial for the body archidonic acid. This acid is absent in vegetable oils, but it is an important component of the heart muscle, participates in metabolic processes, and is needed by the hormonal and immune systems. It is archidonic acid that prevents the deposition of cholesterol on the walls of blood vessels.

Fat also contains fat-soluble vitamins: vitamin A, E, D, carotene.

How to cook

Pork fat for cough is used more often than others.
For lard to become a medicine, it must be melted. The bacon is cut into small pieces, placed in a container and melted in the oven at low temperature or on a gas stove. Do not salt the product: it may lose its healing qualities. The cracklings are removed, the remaining fat is poured into a bowl and cooled. As the substance hardens, it acquires a homogeneous structure with a slight odor.

If the melted mass has a sharp, unpleasant odor, it is prohibited to ingest it: most likely, the product is of low quality or old.

Diseases for which treatment with cocoa is used

Natural cocoa is made from chocolate tree beans. This product not only has a pleasant taste, but also some medicinal properties. It is well suited for treating a child - children rarely refuse this sweet medicine. Taking cocoa powder for coughs speeds up the discharge of sputum, soothes a sore throat, and relieves inflammation. This adjuvant is used for colds and other inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system:

  • bronchitis, including obstructive;
  • pharyngitis;
  • asthma;
  • tuberculosis;
  • angina;
  • whooping cough;
  • cold.

Cocoa butter for cough is used not only as an external remedy, but also mixed with other foods for oral administration. It has similar properties to powder - these agents are often used simultaneously to enhance the therapeutic effect. Additionally, cocoa can reduce cholesterol levels in the blood and strengthen the walls of blood vessels. It is often used in cosmetology and dermatology to improve the condition of the skin and its healing.

Help with cough

Cough lard for children and adults is used because of its warming properties: it can retain heat for a long time and also activate blood flow. Heating does not lead to oxidation, so the product is suitable for both internal and external use. Most often, medicinal ointments, massage oils and drinks are made from it.

Pork mesh or omentum can be used fresh as a compress. The sebaceous layer retains heat well, facilitating coughing up mucus.

  • When used internally, the product gently coats mucous surfaces, reduces sore throat, and regenerates damaged tissue.
  • Compresses and rubbing will help warm the skin and internal systems.
  • The substance will improve the discharge of mucus and make coughing easier.

In the treatment of cough, lard can be an excellent adjuvant and significantly alleviate the patient’s condition:

  • pork lard is prescribed for infectious diseases accompanied by dry cough;
  • goat fat is an excellent antitussive, often used in the treatment of children;
  • interior goose fat strengthens the immune system, softens inflamed mucous surfaces, and removes mucus from the lungs;
  • bear lard reduces spastic attacks of coughing, moisturizes mucous membranes, promotes sputum discharge, stimulates the immune system;
  • Badger fat is used both externally and internally. Possessing disinfectant and anti-inflammatory properties, the product relieves spasms during pneumonia and tuberculosis;
  • dog lard is recommended for use in cases of tuberculosis, as well as diseases of the pulmonary tract with attacks of suffocating cough;
  • Lamb lard is a strong antitussive substance containing various vitamins and acids. Most often, this internal lard is used for bronchitis, as well as cough from smoking. Prohibited for pathologies of the urogenital tract, gastrointestinal lesions, atherosclerosis. Requires careful adherence to the prescribed dose.

Lard has a high energy value, which makes it possible to use it in cases of severe exhaustion. This product will successfully replenish the lack of substances that arise due to loss of appetite.

Contraindications for use

Due to the natural origin of the product, cocoa butter and powder have few contraindications for use. The main ones:

  • allergic reactions – if you are prone to allergies, cocoa should not be consumed in large quantities;
  • diabetes mellitus - treatment of cough with such a remedy can only be authorized by a doctor;
  • obesity - cocoa consumption in this case should be limited due to its high calorie content;
  • hypertension – the caffeine contained in the composition can increase blood pressure;
  • gastritis with high acidity - taking the drug can provoke an exacerbation of the disease and pain in the stomach;
  • pregnancy - only a small amount of cocoa can be used for treatment, as it is a strong allergen.

To reduce the likelihood of side effects, as well as to have the most beneficial effect on the body, you should purchase only a natural product. Most often, it costs more than fakes, so you need to choose a product from the highest price categories. In addition, real cocoa is produced only in African countries - the location of the manufacturer must be indicated on the packaging. When the natural powder dissolves, no sediment remains.

To treat cough in children with this remedy, you do not need to consult a doctor. Cocoa intake can be limited only if there is a risk of allergic reactions. For children under two years of age, therapy with this medication is prohibited. It should be remembered that you should not give your child too much cocoa for the first time - its amount should be increased gradually, starting with small doses. This will reduce the risk of possible negative reactions of the body.

Effective treatment of bronchitis

With this simple and affordable method of treating bronchitis, one woman saved her niece from acute bronchitis and many injections, and the result came after just a few procedures! Be sure to read everything to the end! She once read this recipe in the newspaper, and she really liked it, so she couldn’t help but write it down. Now we can share this very recipe with you. As you know, acute bronchitis is very dangerous, especially in the first year of a child’s life. The woman found out about this when she was in the hospital with her daughter, from her roommate. And she was able to use this recipe only when her niece fell ill, then she was only one and a half years old.

The recipe is as follows: boil unrefined vegetable oil - a quarter glass - in a water bath. Find a towel, preferably wool, long enough to wrap around the child. Soak a towel in warm oil (not hot or cold!) and wrap the baby. (By the way, if you wash the towel immediately after finishing the procedure, there will be no traces left) Place cellophane on top of the towel and wrap the child in a warm blanket.

When the woman returned from work in the evening to see how her niece was doing, at that moment she was already sleeping peacefully. She was breathing easily, her cheeks were pink. And the woman’s sister smiles and says, “You should have seen what the nurse’s reaction was when she saw the baby. Only the nurse was called to give the injections, and the little patient is already almost healthy.

The woman said that she had worked as a nurse for more than thirty years, and such cases had never happened in her practice. A similar compress can be made for an adult. The main thing is not to catch a cold after the compress. But since the body gets used to oil very quickly, the “oil bath” is done only once. You can repeat this procedure a little later.
