Is it possible to harvest ripe viburnum before the first frost hits? This should not be done, if only because early-picked viburnum fruits are poorly stored and are susceptible to mold. In addition, they are too bitter - so much so that even birds do not peck such berries.

Do not collect viburnum before frost

Viburnum should be collected only in dry weather, selecting healthy clusters with well-developed ripe fruits. In order not to damage the delicate skin, they are not torn off, but cut off along with the brushes. Thus, tied in bunches, viburnum bouquets are perfectly stored in attics, basements and other dry, cold places.
